Marisco Lounge — Restaurant in England

Visiting Scarborough on the Scottish September weekend, to put my review simply, I would return on the October holiday just for this place! Good Prices, Friendly staff, a great atmosphere that drew us into the restaurant and a delicious, vegetarian friendly menu.

Our food only came to 70 pounds for 5 people, this included all drinks (including alcohol) and all our foods. So decent price for the superb quality. Only thing I was disappointed about was the Virgin Mango Colada, although delicious and sweet there wasn't much and more ice than drink. This is common practice though so can't complain ( the ice isn't really the problem it was a good amount just could have done with a slightly larger glass).

Staff couldn't be anymore helpful, they let dogs in which is a plus over some other restaurants in the area. When I ordered my food on my second visit (Mexican Bowl) a member of staff came over about 5 minutes later and let me know there was no sheet potato. I wasn't too bothered and they even offered extra toppings to make up for it, turned out they found the sweet potato but still gave me extra halloumi cheese. It doesn't sound like much but from personal experience, restaurants (in the area and otherwise) either take it out without offering extra or even make you order something else. All the staff are friendly in general making sure you are comfortable at all times. Super friendly.

The lighting adds to the atmosphere and takes you back to Spain. There are other tapas bars in Scarborough yet none match the unique, colourful decor. Paired with a normally busy place and friendly staff it creates a great atmosphere.

Although I haven't got any photos of the food I had, take my word for it, it was delicious. Tapas is great with many vegetarian options and the people I was with who aren't vegetarian said the chicken wings were the best they have had in years. Plenty of options, I regret buying the Mexican Bowl on my second visit ad the tapas was so great. For some people tapas will be something new, if that's you, try it! Make sure to share food with your party and don't , don't , order one dish haha.

I couldn't recommend this place more, it's something Scarborough front needed, something unique that isn't fish and chips or a burger....

We came into the lounge yesterday as a walk in of 6. Although they were extremely busy we were greeted at the door with smiles and informed of what to do and the fact there was a wait on food. They also asked for our dietary requirements which was superb as im gluten free. They seated us promptly at a clean table which was a nice surprise in such a busy place. We ordered our food and drink at the bar as suggested by the app due to my gluten allergy. We were informed by the girl ar the bar that she wasn't able to take the order but she would get her manager to take the order. Within a matter of a few seconds both the manager and the girl was back. He proceeded to take our order looking after mine first and read it all back to make sure it was correct. Drinks arrived promptly and we enjoyed the atmosphere whilst waiting. We were informed of how long our food was going to take at every available moment. The manager himself took the opportunity to make sure we were okay with everything whilst waiting. He also brought my gluten free food first which was another surprise as I often am left last to eat. All members of staff who were on tonight should be proud of themselves. I never once saw a drop in service even across other tables and it was nice still being interacted with. The food was also impeccable, with being a chef myself I know what it's like in a hot kitchen especially when it's busy so we'll done chefs! Last I want a special mention to the manger himself. He was always doing something but made sure we weren't forgotten and it made the experience 10 times better. We...

Came in a few times whilst we were away last week. We come to a lounges whenever we can get away and was pleasantly surprised to find that scarborough has one. No complaints from us. Food was superb everytime we stopped in, and we seemed to come in to the same members of staff working the majority of the time which meant we were recognised after showing up twice during the week. We were mainly served by Ashley. His service and his manner in which he dealt with us was superb. He talked to our kid whose serverly autistic and doesn't get many people talking to him. Took the time to ensure he was kept busy with colouring sheets and that his food was the way he wanted it. Not only was he superb with our little boy but he was superb with all of us. Nothing seemed to much to request and he catered to us perfectly, we'd love to have more staff like him in the our lounges closest to home.

Now onto the one bad thing I noticed, Ashley at times seemed like the only one working 100%, we came in when it was extremely busy and ash was the only person who was running round on the floor. Yet when we went to the bar theere was 3 of them stood behind just chatting. When we came on our last day Ashley wasn't there, but if he was we would've bought him a drink or tipped him for his work. Everything was still good when we visited. We just didn't get checked on as much as when ashley was on.
