The Marina and SA1 waterfront is always nice for a walk. Despite the ongoing construction projects and repairs to the pier it is still peaceful and picturesque. Waders and comerants are usually present near the weir. Children must be carefully supervised as they could fall into the marina. One star knocked off because of dog mess. Two things let the beautiful city of Swansea down. Litter and dogs mess. Both completely unnecessary and preventable. Both caused by selfish...

Potentially a beautiful area, however, there is a lot of work needed on the West Pier, the fence between the sandunes, and, parking is very limited. Also, kids have been using the dunes in the evening to congregate, disturbing the people who live close by. There has also been drug paraphernalia found in the dunes, so be careful! Like a lot of things in the UK at the moment, it really needs some money spending on it and the police numbers to deal with problems like...

I love the Marina , summer or winter. Great for a stroll with the dog or meeting friends for lunch.Good choice of cafes, restaurants. Museum,Leisure centre, Maritime museum, Modern library, beach, promenade, barrage, all there. Town is a short stroll away, as is Parc Tawe shopping & leisure Inc Plantasia & UCI. Limited on street parking, but plenty of pay & display....
