Service - FOH staff friendly and attentive to additional dietary needs (dairy allergy). Came for Sunday lunch and waited 30mins for food, as expected for Sunday. Food - Cauli cheese and vegan ‘chicken’ was unavailable. Food arrived luke warm and some veg was cold. Yorkshire puddings were mushy, like warm. Some of our party had very small pieces of lamb and some had large slices. The lamb was dry and well-done despite the menu’s claims of being ‘just pink in the middle for the best flavour’ - see picture. One meal was so cold we asked for it to be reheated and it was returned without the accompanying mint sauce. We paid £16.99 for chargrilled prawns and were greeted with a meagre portion of 5 cold king prawns and like warm skinny fries. The one person from our party of 7 who had a steak was happy with his meal. The coke on draught was flat and tasteless. The ‘sherbet lemon’ mixer was bland and had no hint of sherbet and must have had half a measure of gin at most as it didn’t taste alcoholic. Atmosphere- Location is good and there is ample parking 30 seconds from the entrance. The vibe of the place is nice and homely. Temperature was pleasant. I’m sure we caught them on a particularly bad day based on other reviews but for standards to slip this badly, especially since it wasn’t particularly heaving, I wouldn’t recommend ever coming here for roast dinner.

We ate at this restaurant beside the Premier Inn after arriving in Swansea late at night. Since the place is called Beefeater, I expected them to specialize in steak. I ordered a beef fillet medium, but what I received was definitely not the right cut—it was extremely tough, impossible to chew, and I couldn’t even get my fork into it. I rarely complain about food, but this was really inedible, so I had to send it back. They remade the dish, and this time it was the correct cut of meat, but unfortunately it came out almost well-done instead of medium. I didn’t want to send it back again, and at least it still tasted decent, but overall I was disappointed since technically both of my orders were wrong. Service was polite and they did try to fix the mistake, but the experience wasn’t satisfying, especially from a steakhouse.

Booked a table before we arrived in Swansea on our holiday. We had originally booked for 4.45pm on the daytime menu but as we were around Prinxe Of Wales Dock earlier than that we called in on the off chance and although we were 45 minutes early they were OK with that. We were served by Ann who was friendly & welcoming. The daytime menu is a 3 course for £12.95 or 2 course for £10.95 and there is plenty of choice. The deal finishes at 5pm. Eash course arrived hot & delicious. If I were you I would consider this deal if you go, as a bit later it would cost a lot more for the same meal. I would highly recommend this Beefeater, although there is a lot of work going on around it that may put you off, please don't let it, as the food & service are top quality. I gave 3 for atmosphere due to it being a very quiet weekday

We Visited here on the 29th of January at 8:30 for breakfast. Nice views of the marina but that was the only nice thing about our visit. Myself and my wife were greeted by a waiter by the name of James, if this is the Same person that is mentioned in other reviews then I’d be very surprised. In most of the other reviews people have commented on how good the customer service was from this particular person so maybe not the same person just the same name. I say this because we arrived at the restaurant and the first thing he said was “Room number” no good morning, or room number please. My wife advised him that we had just booked breakfast. We were then taken to our table and the waitress who took us to our table was just as bad, no good morning, not even a smile. She just said you can sit by the window if you want, enjoy. And that was it, didn’t ask us if we’d been before, or if we wanted full breakfast or continental. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all only about 20 people in so no excuse for the lack of customer service. Neither member of staff had name badges on so only knew the waiters name was James because I asked him when we left. Both James and the waitress were acting as if they really didn’t want to be there. Myself and my wife have worked in customer service for twenty plus years and were both shocked when James started making pig noises yes that’s right pig noises and after the waitress telling him to stop about 3 times he eventually did stop.

Restaurant was clean and modern

Now the food, plates were cold and the food wasn’t much warmer if I’m being honest food was lukewarm. Bacon was dry, black pudding was nice, sausage and beans were nice, hash browns were dry, mushrooms were really nice to be fair, maybe I should’ve had mushrooms on toast. When your paying £9.50 for a breakfast you’d expect it to be hot not lukewarm. Coffee was dreadful definitely not Costa like advertised. Orange juice was watered down almost to no taste. The breakfast advertises 4 different types of eggs fried, scrambled, poached or boiled, however only fried and scrambled put out. I did want poached eggs but the chef was no where to be seen and if I’m being totally honest I couldn’t be bothered to ask the waiter or waitress I dare to think what the answer would’ve been.

Safe to say we will not be returning we will both be sticking to greasy spoon cafes or even trucker cafes we would be guaranteed better food and customer service. Stayed in premier inns all around the country can’t rate the hotel here just the restaurant as obviously it wouldn’t be fair due to us not staying here the night. Restaurants in all the other premier inns have been different class to this one. Customer service and food is seriously lacking here and makes the premier inn Gatwick airport north terminal look like the...

No more refill chips. The chips are now actually fries, and not good ones at that. We waited forever for our food. Not for it to be made, but for it to make it's way from the under heat lamps to the table, we were sat in view and could see our food there. I tried to flag down a member of staff after initially waiting patiently for it to be brought but I wasn't acknowledged. The food sat there for 12 minutes, I was obsessively clock watching as we had booked to go bowling and we needed to eat and leave.

Other meals were collected and delivered but ours just sat there as our waitress was nowhere to be seen and no one else thought to bring it. I was just about to get up and approach a member of staff when our waitress reappeared from the bar. She didn't actually bring our food, another staff member finally noticed me looking flustered and brought it.

By the time that actually happened all of our coleslaws were literally congealed from sitting under the lamps so I asked for them to be changed, which was done.

That aside, had the food been brought in less time I doubt it would have improved the bland burger patties, or the needless rivers of not good BBQ sauce. There were seeds and guts of a tomato that weren't actually supposed to be on my burger, it was just cross contaminated or added and then removed when the error was realised. There was also supposed to be a dip pot of the bbq sauce on the side that none of us got, which frankly was something of a mercy in the end.

Altogether we waited 45 minutes for 3 burgers and we ordered within 5 minutes of being seated. People who came in and then ordered burgers after us were paying the bill before we got our food.

Overall, all 3 of us were significantly underwhelmed. We have celebrated many birthdays and had countless family meals out at this venue as it was consistently good food and really good value but we won't be visiting again. It's no longer either of those things.

Swansea is awash with good independents, we'll be trying some of...

Very disappointed with the service we had attended for a family members 30th. The fries were pale and needed to be cooked more, the chicken and rib combo was missing the chicken (chicken was given when asked), the sausages on the mixed grills were overcooked and the kids only had 1 corn on cob on the side when menu states 2 - when mentioning this as the 4 year old picked up on the error we got told the chefs only cook one as that's how it goes through on the till (more were requested and then given). However our experience just kept getting worse. We went to the till to separate the bill and the lady was trying to charge me for an upgraded 2 course meal and when I questioned it her response was the till doesn't know that I didn't have an upgrade. As she couldn't work out how to do it she walked off and took payment from a different table while we were still stood at the till waiting to pay, she then continued to lay tables while we still stood waiting. A different lady eventually came over to sort our payment, however it turns out they had added an extra meal to our bill which we did not have, but she was adamant she brought it to our table. We did receive the steak in question which was part of one of the 2 course meals that was also down on the receipt. She eventually owned up and said it had been put through incorrectly so she would remove it. The other thing to watch is the kids menu is 3 course for £5.99 not according to our bill, they tried charging more and when questioned she said it says it in small print at the bottom of the menu about the dessert costs extra (the other lady told us it was included in the price). On discussing with my family following the payments it turns out we actually ended up paying for a meal twice in the end so the additional meal that she was going to remove was never removed after all. This place used to be our go to place but it has since...
