Advertisers as dog friendly only if your dog doesn’t bark visited this morning all well until the waitress apparently asked us to keep our dog quiet I didn’t hear her but one in our group did 10 mins later a gentleman (I use this term loosely) told us that we had been asked to leave and if we didn’t he would eject us very rude attitude I explained we had not been asked to leave by anyone then some random man who was sitting with the same person who told us to leave got involved saying the cafe is for humans a heated conversation took place I pointed out that it’s advertised as a dog friendly cafe he said only behaved dogs I accept our dog did occasionally bark but we were in there over an hour and other dogs were barking as well I don’t know who the man was BARKING orders if he’s the owner he should be ashamed of the way he spoke to us if he’s the manager the owners need to consider retraining or replacing him I certainly won’t be returning and definitely not...
Read moreTerrible customer service! My partner and I just went into the cafe and were told there was a 20 minute wait for food, which is fine if they’re understaffed or something. We told the Scottish guy at the till that we’d walked 20 minutes to get there and only had 25 minutes of our lunch break left, and before my partner had chance to finish her sentence he butted in and said, “There’s nothing I can do about that.” We were quite surprised at his response and simply turned to leave, and then to compound his poor attitude, as we were leaving he said, “Oh, you’ll be fine.” Perhaps a better response (after waiting for my partner to finish speaking) would have been, “OK, I’ll see if there’s anything we can do for you.” Even if that had been followed up with a “no” and an apology, we would have left disappointed but reasonably happy. Instead, we’ll never go...

Thoroughly over-cooked and tasteless scrambled eggs which could easily pass for 1940's rationing and reconstituted egg powder. We had to ask several times for some butter and sugar, and each time a different member of staff reluctantly brought out a 'ration' of the item we had asked for. In the end we gave up asking and left the meal.
Couldn't help noticing it was entirely staffed by students. Sorry to say, but they lack basic cooking and customer service skills. Go there for a coffee and to enjoy the view, but for value for money, there are far better places to eat...
