BeerRiff Brewing co — Restaurant in Great Britain

Very disappointed. Only been here a couple of times before and had good experiences. They did not handle a difficult situation well at all. Brought a colleague who was visiting Swansea for 3 days for work purposes. He had been feeling a little off earlier in the day when I was working with him but after a rest though he was good to join. After 1 pint he was sick. He told the staff straight away and explained. A lady came to our table and told us we are all cut off (I understand to an extent as it must be difficult dealing with drunks causing trouble) as he was sick and they had to deal with it. I tried to explain to the barman, who told me that if he goes we can drink (again I understand, but they did not care for my explanation). My colleague went back to his hotel, but the barman then told us he couldn't serve the table still (think his boss told him). Completely put off by how they handled this. Adding the fact that there is a very exclusionary atmosphere with signs saying maybe this place isn't for you if you "only like normal beer". That is very snobby. You realise you could write the same message in a more inclusive way like "if you only usually like this beer then try this!"

After a mate had booked the worst Airbnb ever we went out to spend as little time there as possible. Taking a walk up Wind Street I feared my evening was not going to get any better. Luckily I had done my research and the evening was saved after we located Beer Riff. Set on the marina front was a welcoming and modern bar which did not disappoint. We were fortunate to catch the tail end of the Newbarns Brewery tap take over. The staff were friendly and offered great advice on what to go for from the vast selection. With it being close to last orders we decided to go for pints of Newbarns and Lost & Grounded as you know they nail it every time. To no suprise they did and the evening was saved. The only thing I regret was not spending more time here as the pizza menu looked banging as well. Highly recommend a trip here if you're in the area and are after good...

I have to say, I'm a beer riff fan - I even have the t-shirt! But tonight I was gutted when I finally managed to get to the tap room. Signs stating "no tastings", "we don't do 'normal' lager'" etc and impersonal service made me regret investing in the merch and the brand. Such a stand-offish vibe.

My local bar/taproom offers a chance to have a taste and discuss options and flavour profiles, but here, the woman behind the bar was indifferent and offered no insight into what was on offer other than to bluntly state the obvious.

I also ordered a pizza, but it took ages and there was no cutlery on offer.

Don't get me wrong, the beer is great, but don't bother coming here for...
