Good, informative, friendly centre in the market square of Kirby Stephen, to me, the classic ( Westmoreland ) Dales town. Great pubs, delightful curio shops, reasonable parking just rather a drag to navigate your car thru the busy main street. And then, if travelling west you have the superb, scenic route past the Trumptonesque, isolated railway station. Sort of place the Addams family would catch a train from thereafter it's over the tops and racing down the achingly beautiful upper Lune Valley to the M6. A favourite route of...
