This place is more like an up market hotel than a B and B. Doing the Coast to|Coast and by far the best accommodation I have stopped in this far. It is immaculately clean with plush furnishings and bedding. Pictures of the bedroom speak for|themselves. I had a twin room that was delightful. The host Gill was extremely welcoming and professional. Very authentic customer service. Breakfast was first class. Excellent drying facility for wet boots / socks etc. Fantastic location near shops and restaurants. Excellent value for money. A must place to stay if in Kirkby. |Well done...
Read moreGillian and Stephen are the perfect hosts. When arriving from a 32 km hike through pouring rain and boggy fields we received the nicest welcome. They helped us getting our shoes and gear cleaned and provided newspaper to dry our shoes. Our room was spacious and with lovely furniture and all you can expect. Wed traveled there by train. we had used the guest house as a base so we could explore the surrounding countryside and using the Seattle to Carlyle railway to either travel up and down to do various walks.
