We’re delighted with the quality of service and food that we got at Berry Grape and Grain. The staff were very hospitable and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. We hadn’t realised that it was dog friendly and left our two labradors in the car. We went and got them when we realised they were welcome.It was no bother to the staff for us to change our table to suit the dogs better. It’s impeccably clean with a great varied menu. Once in a while you find somewhere that's really unexpected.... this was simply great! Impromptu lunch stopover on our way through Kirkby Stephen & what a find.

Almost empty when we took a chance at 12pm, but don't bank on that. It soon filled up and no wonder why.

Menu has a good range of gluten free options too.

Great food with a nice contemporary twist. Sliced lamb with salad on flatbread - delicious! and only £10. Service was friendly and very efficient - thanks!

We stopped in here during our journey home and were blown away. The flat whites were hands down the best I’ve ever had, perfectly made and full of flavour. We also had cheese scones with butter, which were fresh, warm, and delicious. The staff were lovely, and the service was fantastic from start to finish. The décor is stunning, really well thought out and full of character. Great prices, amazing coffee, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip...
