We arrived at Chrissie and Joe's beautiful B&B and knew straight away we were in for an unforgettable and fun stay. Their wonderful personalities, wide ranging interests, welcoming nature and genuine care for their guests, makes it feel as if you are staying with friends and family. They know the local area well giving lots of helpful recommendations about Kirby Stephens and surrounding area. The breakfast was exceptional and my porridge was made with love and humour evident by the berrie face on top of my oats!!!! Herwig biscuits baked by Chrissie saw us through stormy weather on the next leg of our coast to coast. The accommodation is of a very high standard and super clean. We loved our stay and food so much we popped in on our way home to buy the award winning marmalade that Chrissie makes to raise money for charity. We would recommend lockholme to anyone on their walking adventures...just make sure you have a little bit of extra time to chat and get to know these wonderful people....

Chrissie and Joe Halsall, the hosts, were super friendly and made us feel at home. The room was nice and spotless; we had a two-bed suite. It's right in town, a short walk to restaurants, and located directly on the coast-to-coast trail. They have a lot of experience accommodating hikers, including an area to dry off wet clothing and boots. Aside from their hospitality and friendliness, Chrissie and Joe prepared a very tasty homemade lunch. We really enjoyed the homemade shortbread biscuits. The homemade breakfast was also excellent, with plenty of delicious options to start the day. Overall, we couldn't have been happier with the hospitality, friendliness, room, and meals. We highly recommend Chrissie and Joe’s Lockholme B&B for both hikers and vacationers alike. And Joe – thank’s for sliding us into that 8:01 AM...
