From the reviews I thought that this restaurant would be good. Well what a disappointment. I ordered a vegetable Piza and from the description it sounded good. "An old forgotten classic" it was advertised at. Don't think so. It just tasted like chip shop curry sauce with potatoes, green beans and peas. Some of the onions were still raw. The basics of an Asian dish are plenty of well cooked onions. Not here. The pickle tray was also different. I had the normal, onions, mango, yoghurt (but not) and a red sauce. It just tasted like a tomato passata with some chilli in it. Not great. Would I go back or recommend, probably not. It's another one on the tourist trail, some don't really have to try. If you like my honest review please follow me and have a look at the others.

Came here for Saturday evening meal. Lucky to get a table as it was pretty full at 7.30pm. Great selection of quite unusually dishes to choose from their special menu, so we selected some poppadoms and a main course each plus a beer. The service was excellent - fast and accurate, so received our meals quickly and the quality was also great. They did not do ice cream as a dessert, so you need to go elsewhere if you want this. Overall cost was around £25-30 per person, so quite good value.

A lovely Indian restaurant in a smal town. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. I was ordering for 2 people. My favourite item on hem order was King prawn butterfly (order a madras sauce on the sode to dip). It was really succulent and not dry. The chicken tikka massala got a 9/10 from my friend.

Have been eating at the Mango Tree for some years and also enjoyed many takeaways. The food is always very good. This evening we booked a table at 6.30pm for my husband's birthday. There was a large table of men dining in the restaurant. They were extremely drunk and very loud. They were impacting on the enjoyment of other diners which included women and children. It was impossible to hold a conversation across our table. A lady at a neighbouring table tried to get them to calm down and we also spoke to the waiter about the disturbance but nothing happened. The men then began making inappropriate comments about women. This made the atmosphere tense so we paid the bill and left. We spoke to the waiter about the group but his response was 'they are local'. Well we are local and quite frankly that is no excuse for grossly inappropriate behaviour. I am sure the group spend a large amount of cash in the restaurant on drink but the Mango Tree are in danger of losing all their remaining 'local' customers unless they step in and deal with inappropriate customers. It is not the responsibility of other diners to try and deal with them but the responsibility of the restaurant management. Sadly these locals will not...

Booked a table for 9pm on a Friday night. There were ourselves and a few other tables in. We were waited on by a short bearded guy who asked if we were ready to order 3 mins after sitting down. We explained not yet but offered to order our poppadoms and starters, which he rejected and said he would take the entire order in one go - odd but fair enough. When he eventually came back to take the order he stated the kitchen was closing soon so we needed to hurry up, in which case why take the reservation? He took our order with a scowl and gave us a number of dodgy looks as he left the table. The food was good and arrived quickly so would have given more stars except for the bizarre attitude of...
