I remember seeing the Lambananas when I first visited Liverpool several years ago. I spotted this one on a map and realised that it was quite close, so I took a stroll up from my hotel, just a 5 minute walk to have a look at it. It’s quite large so you can see it from a distance. There are more lambananas down on the dock, just by the Museum of Liverpool; each one is uniquely decorated so quite a sight to see.

It’s a great piece of modern Liverpool history, as it has the association with the Lambanana’s being placed around Liverpool during the 2008 Capital of Culture. My negatives towards it is how it has been used as a political symbol, I’d prefer things such as this to be left intact and just maintained. Hopefully they’ll go back to the original bright yellow colour soon. It’s just as shown in the photo, it is not worth travelling across the city to see and is located in a heavy student area (Library and Accommodations surround this).

It's looking very tough these days and is not in the nicest part of town. The other smaller ones dotted around are nicer. Worth a stead stroll to see it though.

Not worth the walk across the city to see it. Note that the traffic light crossing for pedestrians doesn't work infront of it!
