Went here around 8pm on a Tuesday and it wasn’t busy, it being a gloriously sunny day, we opted to eat outside, where there was a slight problem, in order to have as much seating as possible, they’ve put all their tables in a long line with no gaps, in order to sit down (there were couples at either end of the 5 tables) I had to ask one of them to stand up so I could get down the row of seats against the wall.
We ordered a Cheeseburger (medium, this will be important later) and a Fritter burger as well as a couple of cocktails. The cocktails came out and were good and fresh. While we waited for the food, the guys next door got their burgers and tucked in. One was happy but the other called the guy over and said his burger should have been rare while getting a well done burger. It went back and he waited while a new one came out. Our burgers arrived and we split ours, when we cut them down the middle, our cheeseburger also seemed a little too done, medium (as described on their menu) is their standard and should come out pink – this didn’t seem to have a lot of it. However, we were happy and decided to continue with the meal.
The cheeseburger despite the doneness was tasty and had good beef, however, I’ve had better elsewhere (just probably not in Camden). That fritter burger though… Almost like a bhaji in nature, it was well spiced and needed nothing extra. Really crunchy and crispy, I loved it. Both burgers come with fries as standard and not an added extra – a nice touch, it can get tiring to keep going to places where it’s got to be factored into the cost of the meal, burgers are getting expensive in London!
Leaving was a little easier, just picked up the table and replaced it...
Read moreReally stressful and uncomfortable experience. Went here a couple of months ago on a rainy day. The restaurant is located in a very busy spot which serves as a tunnel to get through the market, and is therefore quite confusing to know where to go, very loud, and not comfortable. More like a stall than a restaurant. There were some benches around the outside which my friend sat on for about 15 minutes before being told it had been newly painted (in the middle of the day on a busy weekend) and all of the exterior seating wasn’t to be used. there was only a few covered benches outside which were full and the approximately 4 tables inside were all full so we literally had to eat leaning against a wall standing up. There was also a very loud “town crier” advertising the restaurant which was very irritating after a while. Finally we got to sit in the restaurant where we were treated incredibly coldly by staff as if we were inconveniencing them with everything we asked for. I love Honest and have been to multiple locations and this was honestly like a completely different restaurant to the warm environment they usually provide. Food is good but not...

Mean manager Expensive food Average taste
Had obviously heard alot about the chain so especially stepped in to try out. Was with a friend, the manager made us sit on a bar table with stools inspite of there being a vacant table. The reason was that it was a 4 seater table and they would give it to their imaginary customers rather than catering to the customer infront of them! I said it once and he said it’s a table for 4 sorry! The stools were super uncomfortable so I had to ask the other staff, when she requested he said the same thing. We sat uncomfortably for 10 mins just looking at an empty table. Anyway, the girl finally convinced him but the twist was to give us a table outside. It was chilly but we just accepted it cause we wanted proper seats!
Now the food: Over priced! The plant burger was pretty average… I don’t know why I was expecting so much! They are famous for there rosemary fries but TBH, it didn’t really make much difference to the taste. The gin n tonic was more tonic than the gin!
Overall, sad experience. I hope the other outlets at least have a...
