Hello again people, You are in for a treat. This is a pub that I visit on a regular basis simply because it’s one of the best in Camden, the atmosphere is eclectic and traditional all at the same time. It’s full of amazing photographs on the walls, being a photographer makes me love it even more. it’s worth a visit just to see the photos, there is a roof terrace and outside space at the back. If you are lucky enough you can get a seat at the front. Guys this place is amazing it’s a must visit if you go to Camden if you leave without going here then you haven’t really seen and felt camden. One of the reasons why I say this is because this was one of Camden’s most famous residents local pub. Amy Winouse was known to frequent this pub and you will see references of her all over the place. It’s not only famous for her but people like Kate Moss Kirsten Dunst and Kelly Osbourne have hung out here and me of course 😜. This place was almost destroyed by fire back in 2008 but managed to survive with help from locals and the famous alike to rebuild and relaunch this historic pub. Other celebrities like Mark Ronson, Razorlight and Noel Fielding. have found themselves in this incredible place. Today I just had a soft drink because I was working. The kitchen is normally my highlight because the food served was amazing. At the moment of writing this the kitchen is out of comission so I can’t do a write up on the food. The bar is well stocked and any drink you want you will find in the Hawley Arms. This place is beautifully located just by Camden Bridge you know the one that’s in every picture ever taken by every tourist that visits camden. When you visit ask for the Rickstasy', apparently it was Amy Winehouse’s favourite drink it consists of “vodka, banana liqueur, Southern Comfort and Baileys. I have no idea how much it cost but let me know if you ordered it and tell me how it was. I love the staff in this place they are ultra cool and very “Camden” the manager is Nando is is a fantastic guy super cool Italian. The place is filled as I mentioned with photos from the ground floor downstairs towards the toilets with photos of the late great Bob Marley and signed football shirts. You will love this place. The photos I took on this visit don’t really capture the feel but gives you a good idea of where you are going. Before or after your visit to the market this is the place to unwind or prepare. Oh by the way when you go make sure you go around the back there’s a amazing piece of wall are you have to see. Let me know if you get a chance to see it.
On February 9, 2008 a roaring fire swept through Camden, North London, causing serious damage to the famous Camden Market and another haunt that was famous for different reasons. Celebrities including Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst and Kelly Osbourne had also been spotted there. Yet on that fateful night, it too caught flames and there were questions as to whether the legendary venue would ever see the light of day again. The Hawley Arms was the late singer Amy Winehouse's local pub and had also been frequented by the likes of Mark Ronson, Razorlight and Noel Fielding.
After a lot of fundraising to support the cause, Ruth announced that, against all odds, the boozer was salvageable. It officially reopened on Halloween in 2008, with a flurry of live gigs to welcome it back to life. Thankfully, the pub lives on and customers can raise a glass to the singer, whose favourite tipple was the 'Rickstasy', which consists of vodka, banana liqueur, Southern Comfort and Baileys. “Enjoy” ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Read moreI opened the accessible toilet with my own radar key for my partner, who has a disability and suffers with poor mental health. One of the bar staff approached me whilst I was waiting for them and asked me if I knew it was the accessible toilet. I responded with a yes. She then looked me up and down and replied "well I can see that you're standing." To which I responded, "not all disabilities are visible and my partner in the toilet is disabled." She then proceeded to call me rude, sassy and confrontational, which was completely unnecessary and extremely uncomfortable and upsetting to receive. I cannot even believe that a pub clearly stating on the front of their premises that they "welcome everyone" would be so discriminatory and rude towards a customer that has a right to use an accessible toilet should they need to. We didn't even get to the bar to order a drink we were so upset. We decided to leave as the bar staff member who confronted me, went back to her colleagues and started to discuss with them the discussion and pulled horrible and unwelcoming faces at us. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted with the service and treatment. The general manager of this premises needs to retrain their staff to understand disabilities and be more inclusive to all, otherwise it is false advertisement to have inclusive signs on your doors and windows stating that you welcome all. Your staff clearly don't follow this policy and we won't be returning after this interaction. It could have been handled much...
Read moreI had the worst experience at this place. It was my friends birthday and we went to this pub to celebrate. We found a table and as we were a group of 8 people, we were really pleased we could accommodate all of us and have some drinks. We were all happy and celebrating until one girl come to the table and says she had reserved that table for 7pm (it was 8pm already). She was aware she was late but she said it was her table and we had to leave. There was no paper saying that table belonged to her. Anything saying that table was reserved. The 8 of us had full pints at that point and we couldn’t just leave. So we told her to call the manager if she felt she was right. The manager (one red hair woman) was such a rude person, she said we had to leave because that table was reserved. Once again we tried to tell her that there was no sign saying that table was reserved when we arrived. We just wanted to finish our drinks and leave. She is the most rude person I’ve ever seen. She called the security and we told him the same thing: please let us finish our drinks and we will leave. We paid for drinks, we were celebrating a birthday and we had to leave our table for a person that arrived late and just because she was friends to the manager we had to go through a humiliating experience. I will NEVER come back...
