Mic Sin , rice noodle is called Mic Sin, learn this word man !
Taste home made, ingredients are fresh 👍🏻 if being picky as a HKger who get used to the taste of “Mic Sin”米線, overall it’s really good, just the sour taste can be a bit stronger, the soup can be thicker.
So I’ve been told many times of this Mic Sin shop. I am a noodle man, we have so so many good noodle shops in HK, and so many choices of different kinds of noodle, Mic Sin is not my favourite, but I wanted to eat that once a while in HK, however living in London is different, i found one good noodle shop, I will go all the time.
The young man owner takes my order, friendly and patiently explains how they make the ingredients I picked, I guess because he guess that I can be a mean , picky HKger foodie.
Got my buzzer sit at the noodle bar, right next to the boiling broth, smell soooooo good, he came and turn down a bit to avoid the steam too much on my face, said I don’t mind an extra facial steam service. Then he shows me what’s inside the huge pot.
I like the way they grilled all beef, chicken, pork and squid, you can’t even have this in HK.
My noodle came, he explained why they have to use paper bowl cos no washing system,
the soup temperature is hot enough✅ taste spicy enough✅ not sour enough 😌 The squid balls are ok The grilled chicken is yummy The grilled squid not just fresh, chunky and surprisingly so many , I count, FIVE not small one👏🏻👍🏻
Very satisfying , £17 was well spent, I will certainly come back and try Fat Beef, Si Chun broth, some...

I’ve been here a couple of times now. I’ve tried different soup base with different main ingredients. This is no doubt the best Yun Nan style vermicelli place in London. From the creamy broth to condiment, the garnish, and the main ingredient. Even the vermicelli was cooked to perfection.
My favourite is pork belly with hot & sour broth. Don’t get me wrong, other options are also fantastic, special credits to the beef. Everything was chargrilled fresh and made to perfection. But personally the beef was a bit too heavy and dominated the whole dish, that’s why I preferred the pork belly.
Drinks are alright, not a wow factor. Authentic enough for me to repurchase.
Ambience wise, it is a food court style market so I don’t think it is fair to judge on that front. But the stall could use some tidying up because you can see carton boxes stacking up inside the kitchen.
Update: INACCURATE OPENING HOURS. I went again with a friend today, arrived at 20:34 (Google indicate closing at 21:00) and they told us their kitchen closes 30 min before closing hour. Staff wanted to take my order but chef told him nope, he isn’t going to taking new orders while he is still preparing new orders. They should change their opening hours to when the kitchen closes, as this is a bloody food court not a restaurant.
Originally a devout returning customer, now I am not so sure anymore. Thoroughly pissed at how they treated me and my friend in this...
Read moreThe basic noodle dish costs between £10-12, and I chose the pork belly set for £11. Unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. The pork belly consisted of barely a tablespoon of thin, broken pieces, and the noodles and soup were very average.
Seeing the pitifully small portion of meat in my order, my friend decided to add three additional toppings: cuttlefish balls, fish tofu, and Chinese leafs. Each topping came in two, with the Chinese leafs amounting to roughly three teaspoons. This brought his total to £15.60, making the portion look somewhat normal. In stark contrast, my other friend ordered a beef rice bowl from a nearby restaurant for £13.20 and received a far more generous portion.
The service was equally underwhelming. I stood waiting for five minutes with numerous staff passing by, but no one acknowledged me or assured me I would be served soon. With so many better and more reasonably priced restaurants in the area, this place is not worth visiting. I will not return, even if I miss eating...
