Ordered & paid for 2 portions of 3-meat with rice ( £ 13.90 x 2 = £ 27.80 saw the amount on the PDQ ) . Opened to only find 2 meat with rice . Went back to the lady who took the order . She said I only paid for 2 meat price . So I said I was charged £27.80 fo 2 .. so I definitely paid for 3 meat ... you can check your receipt or PDA record .Instead of admitting the mistake she insisted she was right that I only paid for 2 meat . I asked her 27.80 for 2 .. is that not 3 meat's price for 2 ? She still insisted I only paid for 2 meat & said ' is ok we will give you the missing meat " ( her way of hiding her mistake .. as if she was doing me a favour by giving me the missing meat . I said " you are not giving me free because I paid for it " .. The chef who prepared the cutting then said to me politely " we will give you the missing meat & quickly cut & placed them in the opened boxes & apologised &wished me Happy CNY " ( 2 more days to CNY ).
AS A FRONT COUNTER STAFF TAKING FOOD ORDER ( I noticed she was rude too when she took other orders ) SHE DOESN'T SMILE & HAS NO MANNERS AT ALL .. SHE SHOULD NOT BE AT THE FRONT DEDK !! END OF .... wont visit this stall...
Read moreI think the timing of this review is slightly unfair, as I tried this restaurant after I returned from Hong Kong (the country is world renowned for their roast meats!). I tried three uncles char siu, crispy pork belly and succulent roasted duck. The meats have good and clean flavor but i can’t give it 5 stars as I am comparing it to the roast meats I had in Hong Kong. The roast meats I tried in Hong Kong was perfection on a plate. It has the perfect balance of meat, fat and sauce with each bite. It was so succulent and juicy that i was salivating with each bite.
To balance the review I gave three uncles 5 stars for this review as I’m also comparing it to Hong Kong, for those that have been to Hong Kong you know how their service is like ;)
All in all, although not the best roast meats I’ve had in my life, Three Uncles satisfied my craving for good...
Read moresize and taste excellent BUT THEY USE DELIVEROO. Deliveroo consistently DONT train drivers. Many can't read English so rely on instructions provided by deliveroo which can be wrong. This is not the fault of the driver and certainly not three uncles. But, I won't be getting delivery from three uncles anymore. Deliveroo doesn't provide an easy way for customers to query orders with a human. Disappointed customers with cold food are not good business for three uncles. I strong suggest three uncles contact deliveroo and insist on better management and training of staff. Perhaps the statistics will demonstrate that deliveroo is actually bad for three uncles excellent product and that they are loosing takeaway sales (which are much cheaper to run...
