I bought 20 sea bass costing £40. It was 5 small sea bass for £10. When I bought them home, I could smell they weren’t fresh. I had to throw 4 of them away. But I thought if I clean it with lemon it will be ok. The next day and the fish is rotting, the eyes are extremely cloudy and the smell is off. Fish that is suppose to be fresh, cleaned and kept in the fridge at home just two days after they’ve been bought should not look or smell the way they do!! They were obviously off/stales already whilst they were still in the shop. Why are you selling people gone off fish and saying they’re fresh when they are clearly not fresh at all. This is the sort of thing that will make people sick! I will upload a picture for everyone to see and I need my money back!

They knowingly sold me old crab legs that tasted awfully of ammonia, a sign that the crabs were decomposing and should not have been sold to me. Absolutely theives. Do not buy from them.

Fish price is very reasonable and the staff is super friendly. They are also kind to assist for removing fish organs and clean it up.

I don’t like giving bad reviews but this shop does not sell fresh due from recent experience.

I bought 2 mackerels on Thursday when I arrived home I realised it was not fresh, it was stale. I washed it with lemon hoping that it won’t taste several days old but when I cooked it tasted stale. This the 3rd time this has happened to me. I cooked some of the mackerel again this evening and it tastes terrible. I need find another fishmonger.

I don’t like wasting money but I will have to bin all the mackerel that I have left.

I don’t believe they supplied fresh on a daily basis, I think the shop keeps the mackerel on display till the longest moment until it is sold. I have also had similar experiences with the sea bass. That was not fresh either. Unfortunately I can’t tell when...

I shopped from this place for several years and always happy with them, even though they always over priced. But recently they hired some terrible people which are rude, aggressive and have terrible manor. Just to sell their left over fishes from several days before they said they aren’t selling the fresh one and insisting that is prepared the same day which obviously a big lie. I’m totally disappointed especially as I was a loyal and long term customer. With this people there I don’t think you can buy anything fresh from that shop anymore. Not honest with the customers. Stuff with absolutely poor...
