Brent Cross Shopping Centre has been the default shopping destination for northwest London for over 45 years. As someone who has been visiting for over 20 years, the experience has remained largely the same - which is mostly good. The good - it has huge free parking (a rare London luxury these days!). The shopping centre is well maintained with a good selection of high-end brands. Being connected well by public transport, especially buses, makes it accessible. Plus here is a decent choice of restaurants and cafes at all price range, catering to busy families. The bad - the shop variety is dominated by the common and standard street chains - nothing more boutique, unique or personal - looks like they can't afford this space. At best they would get small location on one of the big anchor shops. These are Fenwick and John Lewis at the centre sides (and M&S in the middle). Sales prices can be on the high side compared to other locations. Plenty of variety and quality but still not a place for bargain hunting. Food shopping is mostly M&S or Waitrose - Quite busy but high quality. It gets absolutely packed on weekends as people come just to pass time, which can make navigating very hectic with crowds of shoppers and children running around. Overall it's a reliable option when in northwest London with a toddler or needing to use public transit. But the shopping experience leaves something to be desired for serious fashion/bargain hunters. A revamp with some new outlets could attract more clientele. While Brent Cross may never be the most exciting mall, its size, amenities and connections ensure it will remain the area's staple for years to come. Just be prepared for crowds and pack your patience on weekends. Key Shops: Fenwick, John Lewis - flagship department stores spreading over 3 floors. Marks & Spencer, Zara, H&M (including Home), Apple, JD Sports, Boots and many others. Restaurants: McDonald's, Nando's, Wagamama, Pizza Express, Shake Shack Burgers, Leon and many more including smaller food stalls. Coffee Shops: Starbucks, Costa Coffee, Caffè Nero, Pret A Manger and others (few extra are inside the anchor stores).

Brent Cross Shopping Centre was opened in 1976.[2] It was the country's first out-of-town and American-style indoor shopping centre in the country, with its construction taking 19 years to complete at a cost of £20 million.[3] On 14 December 1991, four explosive devices were planted by the Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA). The bombs were discovered and defused before they could be detonated.[4] On 6 November 2012, six people on three motorbikes entered the shopping centre and smashed in the windows at jewellers Fraser Hart. An estimated £2 million worth of jewellery was stolen.[5] Brent Cross shopping centre is planned to be extended as a part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration scheme. The John Lewis and Fenwick Department stores will remain in their current location, Marks & Spencer will move to a new location on the extended site, the bus station will be relocated, and new parks, a "living bridge" across the North Circular Road and a cinema are planned, along with new multi-storey car parks (with the existing surface carparks to be used for the shopping centre extension). Outline planning permission was achieved in 2010, and preparatory site clearance started in early 2018. Construction had been expected to start in 2018,[6] but is now delayed until 2019.[7]

Firstly the is our local Mall closer yo us, approximately 25 minutes drive, it has decent choice of shops, big Brands like John Lewis, Fenwick, M&S, Apple Store, Next and many more other brands. Tesla there is few SC available, plenty of Free parking. Good choice of coffee shops, food restaurants and your Fast food restaurants etc. It has good bus network and London Underground, station called “ Brent Cross” Bad points: sadly there are professional thieves, my wife had her purse stolen, she was adamant no one stole it as her bag was with her, short conclusion was 2 wonderful gentlemen came to our house one night and said is this your wallet, we were absolutely 😮, they found it in a bin outside the Brent Cross shopping centre, as their mobile/purse was stolen, they were searching all bins hoping, and came across my wife’s wallet, they found our house as it had my wife’s driving licence as it had my home address, thank God. I still love Brent Cross but we are now more careful. It’s very good for family with kids, you will feel extremely safe.

Visited on Sunday 22nd November 2020. It was very quiet as only the food related shops were open - which was fine with me 😁 I visited most of these and picked up some nice items, plus a few bargains. Brent Cross is a nice shopping centre to visit, lots of shops and a good atmosphere. Free parking too, which is a brilliant bonus. All the Christmas decorations were up and you can see from my picture that it was pretty empty. I enjoyed my visit even if only a few shops were open. They will be jazzing Brent Cross up in the near future by updating it into a premier London shopping centre, but will take a good few years to complete. With a new train station coming in the next 2 or so years too! Nice place to shop! Update 2022: Brent Cross is long back to normal and thriving as it always has done. I visit regularly and has virtually all the same shops we love!
