Duke of York Square in Chelsea is one of my favourite spots in London for a relaxed day out. It strikes a great balance between being lively and laid-back, with plenty to explore without feeling overly crowded. Whether you’re just popping by or planning to spend a few hours, there’s always something going on.
The square has a great mix of high-end and more accessible shops, so there’s a bit of something for everyone. It’s also a great place for food — lots of cafes and restaurants with outdoor seating, which is perfect on a sunny day. The Saturday food market is definitely a highlight. There’s such a good variety of fresh, delicious options — everything from gourmet burgers to vegan bites and sweet treats.
It's also a really nice area for people-watching, with a stylish but unpretentious crowd. The location is ideal, being right off King's Road and close to the Saatchi Gallery, so it’s easy to tie in a bit of culture or shopping.
Overall, Duke of York Square is a great choice if you’re looking for a chilled, classy atmosphere with good food, interesting shops, and a bit of that Chelsea charm. Definitely worth a visit.
A nice clean environment that is easy to navigate. Lift and escalator access to all floors including cinema. Lots of designer outlet shops and eateries. Boulevard fronted restaurants and pubs and a number of high street supermarkets and Cineworld. There is also a enclosed play area for children.Great place. Inside outside modern shopping area. Cafes spots and spaces... lots of shopping. High quality communal lighting and info. Great place. Terrace is amazing for food and drinks. Really great in the night time. Easy open air access..plenty of events during specific times. Parking expensive but close. Can park offs street close to duke streetThe mall is conveniently located and the closest one to me, so I visit quite often. However, it is frequently extremely busy, and it can be very difficult to find somewhere to sit if you just want a quick bite to eat.
Over the years, some of the better shops, such as & Other Stories, have closed, and many of the replacements feel more like fast‑fashion, cheaper brands, which I do not enjoy.
