After extensive research by my relative, a professional chef from Belgium, looking for the best sushi place in London that offers both Otoro and Uni (sea urchin), she selected this place, and oh my goodness, was she spot on!

First of all, the staff are super friendly and professional. The atmosphere of the place is superb.

We opted for the sushi bar seating to have a full, traditional Japanese sushi indulgence experience. Watching the sushi chefs (chef Ye in particular) prepare the food was amazing. The precision and passion he portrayed were exceptional.

We ordered:. 1- Kimchi Fried Rice, which was lovely and refreshing. 2- Aburi Shime Saba (fillet of marinated mackerel seared tableside), which was surprisingly tasty, as I'd never imagined raw mackerel could taste that good. 3- The special dish of the day, Seabass Sashimi with yuzu and truffle, which was fantastic. Very smooth and packed with flavour pieces of fish drizzled with truffle goodness. This was exceptionally yummy. 5- A selection of sushi rolls and nigiri, mainly what we came for: the Otoro and Uni.

It was also my first time trying them, and I was mind-blown by the texture and richness of the Otoro. Like buttery velvet melting on your tongue, it was the epitome of melt-in-your-mouth perfection. My relative, who has very sophisticated taste buds due to her profession and passion for high-quality food, was also quite impressed with the quality of the fish cuts. She declared it the best Otoro she's ever had, and trust me, she's had her fair share!

The hero of the day for me was the Uni, which I'd anticipated much about. The second this food hits your tongue, you'll be transported to the beach, tasting the freshness of the sea and the sweetness of its unique flavour.

After a brief discussion with Chef Niko praising his and Chef Ye's mastery skills, he recommended another form of Uni served in a spoon, topped with salmon eggs and caviar. This was a mouthful of heavenly goodness that literally blew my mind like nothing before!!!

The details and care put into preparing these explosions of seafood deliciousnes were transferred through my mouth to my brain, creating a memory of unmatched flavour. I can definitely say this has been the best sushi bar experience I've ever had.

At the end of a very special night, were extremely delighted with entire experience from the delightful staff, high skilled chefs, specifically chef Ye, to the fantastic dishes...

Terrible Experience with some manager called SIMONA. I regularly order from Chisou Mayfair. Unfortunately they removed the salmon and tuna tartar from the deliveroo few months ago. So I always have to call them and order something of the same price that they agree to replace by the salmon tartar. Today a clueless person called Simona refused to proceed that way. her excuse was that a lot of people got food intoxication from the delivery of Salmon tartar. So I asked her to explain why specifically the salmon tartar cannot be delivered anymore. she Firstly said that they made it in advance. as I was a bit shocked she changed her version saying that deliveroo driver are too slow and because of the time they take the salmon tartar was toxic and they had big lawsuit from many clients. when I ask why they deliver all the sashimi and not the tartar in that case? she didn't have any answer, so she finally accept me for me to pick it up but still not deliveroo. even though I said I could pay the extra fee Premium delivery on deliveroo to get it faster she refused. obviously she has no knowledge of japanese food, she is absolutely unprofessional and she ruins the reputation of the restaurant saying they had lot of food intoxication with the salmon tartar delivery. it is a shame as I had to order the salmon tartar which is on the menu of the deliveroo chisou in Knighstbridge when I live near chisou mayfair. how bad it is for chisou mayfair to have manager who lie and obviously who doesn't give a damn of the restaurant reputation and the service she should provide! PS : Following the response from Mark. I can confirm that Simona clearly stated that they had MANY LAWSUITS following FOOD POISINING from the salmon tartar delivery. Whereas this Exact salmon tartar is available for delivery from Chisou knightsbridge. I guess when one decide to be stubborn and unhelpful, all means are good! Easy now to retract yourself when you don't want to face a valid and honest review. Obviously as stated, I have no interest to pick it up when I can have it delivered from Chisou Knightsbridge. (did you actually read my review or your concern are just to justify Simona and dismiss her story about the food...

I was a huge fan and regular customer for many years, at Chisou Mayfair. As I am a regular diner there, I wrote directly to the manager rather than post a review, but he did not bother to reply to my email. Due to my recent experience I am now reluctant to make Chisou Mayfair my go-to restaurant, and am still angry and humiliated.

I had lunch with my husband on a Saturday afternoon. We waited half an hour before our meal was brought to the table. The restaurant was busy and full, so I understood that there would be a wait. However, when the food was brought to the table is was not my order. I ALWAYS have the Chisou Special Sushi Set (with the Tempura) Lunch, and my husband ordered the same on that occasion. As per usual, when ordering I told the waitress that I would like the fish maki rolls substituted for California Rolls, stressing that it is the Special with the Tempura. She brought a plate of California Rolls. When I pointed out to her that I had ordered the Special Sushi Set, she argued that I had ordered California Rolls and INSISTED that I take the dish. I refused and insisted that I wanted the Sushi Set Lunch. She did bring us the Sushi Set Lunch eventually, and we thought that that was the end of it. However, she returned in the middle of our meal and scolded me for not making it clear to her that I wanted the Sushi Set Lunch with California Rolls instead, and that next time I should do so. I replied that I had, and she aggressively kept insisting that in future I should tell her. This attracted the attention of nearby diners, which was embarrassing.

My husband was angry and my lunch spoilt! Their Special Sushi Set Lunch is the best thing on the menu and why I keep returning for lunch, bringing lots of friends or dining on my own.

My husband refused to pay the service charge for being told off by our waitress and waiting longer than usual for our meal, considering that you charge 15% as opposed to most who still charge 12.5%. I do not mind normally, as the service used to be excellent and the 15% well deserved, but not on...
