One of their umbrellas literally fell in my head, hurting myself. The manager I suppose (she was the only one wearing a tailored jacket) mistreated me so bad. She tried to tell me it wasn’t her problem if HER umbrella fell on my head (the umbrella kept moving all afternoon because of the wind but nobody from the staff noticed that🤔). Also I tried to tell her that she doesn’t need to give me some excuses, a truthfully apology was enough but NEVER CAME. When I had to pay the bill I asked to not pay AT LEAST the service charge but she continued telling me “ARE YOU PAYING WITH CARD????”. Girl, I mostly had a concussion and you want me to pay the service charge??????? I told her this is not how to treat a customer but she continued saying pretentiously “thank you”. This is my first and last time I’ll come to this place. If she tries to delete this post because she doesn’t know how to cope with the truth I’ll post my review till she’ll stop deleting it. To add, there were two women next to us and when the umbrella fell, one of their drinks spilled on the table and glass broke, and again, they got mistreated by the same manager. Read moreI've been to fait maison before, in South Kensington, and I had the shakshuka last time. It was yum 😋. I thought I'd try the afternoon tea this time. My tea and water were brought to me quick speedily but I did have to wait a while for the rest. I then asked for warm milk as I had just been given a pot of the tea without anything else (milk, sugar, etc). When the food arrived I was a bit underwhelmed. I expected the cakes to be better if I'm honest. The sandwiches weren't great - the cucumber inside was freezing cold. I found it bizarre that I was given three cucumber sandwiches and 1 chicken - I mean if you are paying £32 for 1 I would expect a bit of selection...no? I had to wait a while again to pay and in the end I just got up and asked someone to come over as it was taking too long. There weren't many people there so their service really should be quicker. It does look beautiful in terms of aesthetics, but food quality could be a lot better for this price point. The staff are friendly and helpful though, hence why I have given three stars...

I loved eating in but the takeaways have truly disappointed me. Because they don’t deal directly with the customers, they don’t put much effort in preparing the meals which is a hit and miss. I’ve placed over 20 orders and the last one has truly let me down. I’ve ordered hamsa and I was sent Bolognese meat with soft cheese on top. The biryani was tasteless and had only 4 pieces of small chicken cubes as opposed to 8 on average. The salad missed ingredients and the size can really vary. The restaurant lacks consistency. It’s a shame that nobody wants to look after my orders and can’t even be bothered to address my concerns. When ordering a pistachio tiramisu, I was sent a classic/caramel that isn’t even on the menu.
