If I could give Shoreditch Nails 10 stars I would. I'm hesitating writing this review as it's hard enough getting a slot here, none of my friends can manage to squeeze in a spot, as it is but you ladies deserve it.
I've been going to the ladies who run Shoreditch Nails for about 3 years now and haven't looked back since. My nails have never been stronger and I get compliments on them every time without fail.
They have the basics (cuticle work, shaping, buffing) perfected to the T and then they nail (ha! pun intended) nail art. Hayley especially never settles for less, if a line is wonky or dot misplaced, she will fix it without batting an eye. And oh my the designs and textures! She's never said no to any ideas. And to top it off my Shellac manis usually last chip free up to 4 weeks (although I usually get them done every 3 weeks).
Tina, Hayley, Rachel and Anna really care about what they do and have a knack for remembering all your life stories. A visit there is my guilt free pleasure every 3 weeks and love it even more that it's a business set up by and run by strong women. Keep up the amazing work and thank you for keeping us all sane and our fingertips in tip top shape.
You'll be hooked, and once you are, make sure you're booked months in advance to avoid...
Read moreOverall very satisfied with Shoreditch Nails. I have been a regular at Shoreditch Nails since last Autumn, and overall can say that I am very satisfied with the service there. The vibe at the little salon is very good, there’s always good music playing and everyone is very chatty and lovely to interact with. I do want to give a special shout-out to Carmen outstanding at what she does and incredibly detail oriented. My nails have generally lasted a minimum of three weeks, and have noticed that when more time was taken to do them they would last longer and not lift.
The only constructive feedback I would have is firstly, that appointments do feel a little rushed most of the time, unfortunately. And secondly, would like to have seen better communication around price increases, as bookings were changed just prior to the appointment and prices changed without notification. Particular seeing that an in-house BIAB removal went from £7 to £20.
However, overall, the quality of the service is very good and...
Read moreI had a disappointing first experience with this salon. I had a gel manicure done just three days before a ski trip, and within a few days, two nails chipped. I first assumed it might be due to the ski gear, but after returning from the trip, two more nails chipped, which has never happened to me with gel before.
I contacted the salon 11 days after my appointment, and they only responded once. Rather than trying to understand my point of view, they told me I shouldn’t expose my nails to hot water environments within 24 hours (I travelled 3 days later), and to avoid using my nails as “tools,” which felt like a generic and dismissive response rather than one based on what I explained.
They offered no resolution except to pay an additional £15 for a fix. I requested at least a complimentary removal, but I’m still waiting for their reply. For a nearly £50 treatment, I expected better quality, accountability, and above everything, a better customer experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning or...
