I visited this bar yesterday as I was in the area and had heard good things about it since it opened a few months ago, and I'm pleased to say that my experience surpassed the feedback I had heard!
I was greeted by Ben and Athira and they couldn't have been more accommodating. I asked for a coffee and they showed me all the options that they have, the day was warm so Ben recommended making me his special Iced Latte, he made sure to make it exactly the way I like it! It was creamy and the perfect balance of coffee and sweetness! I think I drank it all before any of the ice had a chance to melt ahaha! He also recommended what food to order - I went for a burger, some chicken tenders and fried cauliflower. Athira made these to perfection, they were cooked perfectly and the sweet soy sauce was so good, I had to stop myself from drinking the rest that was left in the pot (which is also a good indicator of their generous portions!) they have an open grill behind the bar so you can see your food being cooked - something I am very big on and the bar/kitchen was kept tidy and clean from the minute I got there to the minute I left.
I was made to feel welcome and that my experience was top priority. I love the décor and atmosphere in the building, the music was calming and not too loud, there's comfy seats and bright lighting to the front of the venue, a good spot to sit and read a book or get work done with a nice iced latte. Or there's bench style seating in the middle of the venue which is ideal for eating or bigger groups. A previous review mentioned that the benches are uncomfortable but as far as bench seating goes, it wasn't the worst I've experienced, besides if all restaurants and bars had the same décor/furniture, there would be nothing that sets businesses apart. As a venue that also holds large late night events I think its perfect to accommodate all types of guests that would walk through their doors.
The location is out of the way of the busy Tottenham High road, I got there from walking through the alley that is adjacent to the railway track so only took me 5 minutes to get there from Tottenham Hale station which is a quicker walk then any other bar from Tottenham Hale station.
Overall I am pleased I made the stop, the customer service, atmosphere and pricing is very competitive and I think I've found my new spot to lunch. Thank you guys for making me feel so welcome and I look forward to seeing...
Read moreGot in the club with 9 others ready for a good night. Went to the bar and asked for a white rum and pineapple I am Jamaican so I obviously wanted wray & nephew which I could clearly see. The guy put the card machine in front of me and it said £28, I said is that double, he said yes, he never even gave me an option. I asked the prices he said £12 for single and £14 for double which is crazy prices. Anyway went for doubles, when it came tasted it and it taste like water. When asked what rum it is he said Bacardi. I never asked for Bacardi and told him I want white rum, we went back and forth I advised him that I am a Jamaica so clearly I want Jamaican White Rum. He never gave me any option, he was very rude so I asked for the manager, who cane and offered no apology just continued to try and say they were right giving me Bacardi as white rum which I have never had. The music was quite loud so it may have sounded like I was shouting I tried to get my point across to the so called manager and they both were not having it. The customer service was poor, there was no apology for giving me the wrong drink and I just had to accept it. I came out for a good time, I'm not a kid and was going to be spending at least £100 at the bar plus the others with me hadn't even bought a drink yet.
Me and my friend asked them to change the drink to what we wanted, he said it would be another £3. So if there was an option in prices why was I not asked, what rum I wanted and what size. I am a alcohol license holder and that service was so bad. They gave m the house rum, which I have never heard of which seemed watered down and expensive. The next thing I was surrounded by security and asked to leave. One African security was shouting in my face and I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Another guy comes over and said he's the manager I said I will leave when I get my money back, security was around shouting and trying to usher me out. I got my money back and left, these people let me leave on my own in the middle of the early morning and it took me nearly two hours to get home. There was a clear case of racism and sexism, no professionalism, no customer service and ultimately no love. I will never go back to that venue again and I hope they go...
Read moreWent to Dnb all stars here for new years eve and honestly think its one of the worst venues I have been to in London. For starters its SO disorganised and clearly does not know how to host these kind of events. So many safety red flags. First being the lack of seating and the smoking area situation. There was a huge queue all night for the smoking area as they would only let a small amount of people out at once. The most ridiculous thing is they only had a small section of it open when they had a big other section closed off with benches. This caused most people to sit on the floor. Then they had security trying to get people out as soon as possible. This is so bad considering an outside area is where people go to have a breather and break from a rave especially people taking substances. Surely it would make sense to open the whole smoking area as there would not be queues and the security would of not got as much abuse. The venue itself is ok not the loudest and not a fan of the layout. Wouldn’t...
