A beautiful lake Inside Hyde park offering wonderful views and peaceful seats by the lake. Really good for relaxing and sun bathing. It can get quite crowded so make sure to check if it is crowded before planning to visit. But if you live in the city this is a nice lil gem to get away from the chaos of the city. It also has a cute coffee shop on the side. I would not say it is a must visit attraction in London, but if you are in the area already then why not pay this one a visit. It's quite big so you can find a lot of people jogging hence again proving to be a good spot for the people...
Read moreLovely place to escape the noise and traffic..and indeed the crowded streets of central London. Hyde Park is lovely anyway...but the Serpentine is just so peaceful for me. I dont really notice other people when Im there. Plenty of our feathered friends also love it, judging by the amount of bird species casually strolling about the place too. Cafes and toilet facilities not too far from each other...lots of trees for shade..and wide open spaces if you want to sunbathe. Quite a few little hidden treasures too if you like the historical aspect of this great...
Read moreWhat I really love about the Serpentine are the changing seasons and this reflects upon what goes on in the water. During the warmer months loads of people out having so much fun on their paddle boats, guess there have been a few marriage proposals out there, very romantic. The swans and wildlife are exceptional and gives a great sense of movement on the water which is quite inspiring during the colder winter months. The Royal Parks keep this really nice and tidy which is great to see and a very welcome tourist attraction, so go hire a paddle...
