A lovely spacious setting on The Serpentine Lake in Hyde Park. It was not busy the morning I was there and I found it very peaceful sitting inside (out of the cool breeze) watching the bird life. Ample outdoor seating is available as well on a clement day. The venue is well designed with a good use of space surrounded with floor to ceiling glass. I had granola with fruit for breakfast and it was very tasty with a plain Greek style yogurt. The serving was smallish which suited me but may disappoint those with a larger appetite. My coffee wasn’t bad either. Be aware you must find a table first, know your table number then order at the counter. I walked in and went straight to the counter and was rather brusquely told ‘the rule’😊. I hope to return for lunch sometime before heading home. Just a lovely place to sit and a would be perfect with a G&T or glass of wine in hand.🍸🥂 Went back next day for fruit and granola breakfast and it’s no longer on the menu 😭😭😭 Ordered the eggs Benedict which was cold and terribly disappointing!🫤 The coffee was good and hot! (Not too hot!) A bit of a queue this morning but staff remained calm and pleasant. Overall not quite 4 ⭐️ but more than 3⭐️

This concerns the adjacent steak kitchen, NOT the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen! I ordered the "plant-based steak". Now, what I was expecting was something like a McPlant or the vegan pate at Subway – you know, an actual attempt at a plant-based steak. Foolishly, so foolishly, I didn't check the specifics, and what I collected in terms of steak was two large pieces of broccoli. Anyway, my broccoli was served on chips that were too salty, with olives that had been soaked in the Dead Sea. And all, of course, at a Central London price. To rub it in, the food going past from the Bar & Kitchen looked really good. All in all, my vegan meal here can have ⭐. Stick to the actual Serpentine Bar & Kitchen, which looks great. My father said his steak was fine, however, so it's only the vegan option I recommend avoiding. So I give the food an extra star. The staff were friendly and hardworking; they just cook what they're told to cook; ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for them. And of course it's nice to sit and eat by the Serpentine.

The Serpentine Bar and kitchen has just been refurbished, it's looking fresh and clean (not that there was any thing wrong with it last year in 2018). It has good disabled access as there are no steps on the premises as there are ramps everywhere. Prices are extremely reasonable considering its such a tourist trap and there aren't any other large restaurants so close to the Serpentine. Plenty of outside seating, but inside can be noisy and seating inside can be limited if the weather is not good. There are male, female and disabled toilets here. Staff are friendly service is quick and there is a good menu for eating in as well as a good variety of food to choice from to take away. One MAJOR problem I have here is the cake counter. The cakes are not covered so people are free to finger the food on offer and put it back. Feel free to sneeze over the cakes and walk off leaving other people to pick up your germs. Not nice. I would not eat a cake here if you paid me. Enjoy your day.

Stopped here for a late breakfast on a Sunday morning on a cloudy/rainy day in March and it was still very popular. The café has plenty of seating inside and outside so we got an inside table quickly. The best thing about the café clearly is its location with lovely views over the Serpentine, mwhich feels great even on a rainy day. I had the vegan porridge with raisins/cinnamon and my husband had a breakfast sandwich. Both were good and price was reasonable for a London café in such a lovely location. My photos include the full menu. You go up to order your food and then it is delivered to the table. Service was good despite it being busy and staff were going around cleaning the tables. Lots of runners seem to stop here outside after their run for a coffee/snack and lots of families/couples having breakfast/brunch.

The location and atmosphere is great! The food is below par of mediocre - Service wise; it was difficult to try and get someone to clean up and wipe up the table so I could order food -I had to ask 3 people over a timeframe of 15 minutes until Maya approached me and saw to my needs. Apart from The Lovely Maya and another lovely gentlemen who served me (mixed race with short afro) they really looked after me and delivered service - deserve a pay rise Food wise I wouldn’t recommend the pizza; I got a classic margarita. Lack of colour on the overall crust or actual pizza; it tasted really cheap, certainly not worth paying £14. You want it to be cooked not soggy. Asda grade pizza quality for sure ideal for tourists who don’t complain and are happy to get ripped off.. You can pay less for a better quality product.

Recently had lunch here on a bright sunny November day, and it was glorious! We split the pizza Diavlo, which was delicious and ample, and at £16 won't break the bank. Even though it's called a restaurant and bar it's really more a canteen or self service. You need to get your table first and then give the table number to the person on the till - your food will then be brought to your table. It's a wonderful building on the banks of the beautiful Serpentine, where you can people and bird watch, and is perfect on a sunny day. I love the architecture and the views of the Serpentine restaurant. Spectacular on a warm sunny day. I've only had the coffee (delicious), so can't comment on the food, however, it all looks delicious. The prices look reasonable too.
