Absolutely loved this hotel. It is a short walking distance from the train station, easy to access. The building looks amazing and the rooms are just fab! It is a proper hotel room but very well equipped even had a small kitchen installed giving a feeling of an RBnb so you can cook your own meals if you want. Nice and clean bathroom with some nice brands of shampoo and body wash. Also had iron and hair dryer. Oh, and the view was stunning, staff was superfriendly. Wifi was quick, easy to connect and even the staircase looks beautiful. Highly recommended accomodation if you visit Manchester.

You know how in a zombie film they always end up in a giant mall. Or the heroes ram sack a deserted convenience store. Then they hide out until the zombies come and get them in a giant stand-off.

Well they could have filmed these scenes in the Corn Exchange. Because even though the place looks like a shopping arcade on the outside, with Zizzi's restaurant usually buzzing with life. Inside, there is just nothing there.

Except for the odd shop or two nestled between endless, empty stores. Along with a security guard patrolling past non-existent shoppers. On a mission to find shoplifters lifting merchandise that doesn't exist. This place is just weird.

And given its strategic location, part of a triangle that encompasses The Printworks and The Arndale Centre, it doesn't make sense. Such a shame that no one has put this building into good use - converted it to an ice rink perhaps. Or maybe a hotel. Or even, I can live in hope on this one, a...

Visited The Cosy Club for a meal to celebrate our son’s graduation with family. Food was good but very poor service. The young lady serving us was clearly new and learning her role. She was very pleasant but unfortunately out of her depth. After finishing our starters the table wasn’t cleared so when our mains arrived we still had a cluttered table and no cutlery despite her wandering past our table and looking over on numerous occasions. We had the same again when we finished our mains, the table wasn’t cleared and we sat with dirty plates until we piled them up onto another table. We just requested our bill, paid and left. I don’t blame the young lady but her supervisor/ ? manager was poor. He strutted round looking at tables and didn’t lift a finger to help or guide her. Not at all what I expected from Cosy Club. I only gave 2 stars because the food was ok. I won’t be visiting again or...
