I ate here for the first time tonight, the popadoms and sauces was lovely. I have no complaints with them they were spot on and tasty. The starter was supposed to be chicken tikka although it was not what I expected it to be. I thought it was going to be the grilled chicken tikka type, however it had a lot of juices on the plate from the seasonings used and oil from the frying pan. In my opinion it was not cooked for long enough or how I would of liked it. I will say that the starter was very well presented. The main course was nice, it was quite tasty. I had a lamb rojan josh and pilau rice. They first made a mistake with my order and bought me chicken rojan josh but they was happy to take it back and exchange it for the lamb. The staff were helpful and friendly towards me and made me feel welcomed. I was told I needed to buy a drink although I did not intetend of having one. I did not like that there was terms and conditions of what you have to do in order to have something to eat. All was well I had a nice evening, until I was given two chocolates when I had recieved my bill. I ate one whilst talking to the staff and afterwards noticed that it tasted peculiar to me. I did not know if it was just because I'd just ate curry and then ate chocolate. So I opened the other one and this time I had looked at it before I was about to put it in my mouth to eat it. I noticed it had a white appearance on it was supposed to be milk chocolate. It looked like it had melted in the packet and then cooled. I asked why it looked like that and as I looked carefully, I noticed a very small bug crawling around on it. Which I did show the staff and make them aware, which put me off about my whole meal and made me feel sick and I wanted to throw up my entire meal. Overall the staff was nice and friendly, I can say that they were trying their best to run their business. I discredit this restaurants of one star for the quality and taste of the starter and the other star for the presentation and the bug on the chocolate. Unfortunately due to the incident with the insect I will not...
Read moreTried Curry 2 Night after seeing someone mention it being good on Facebook. This was such a mistake! The food was mediocre at best, everything tasted very bland, lacking freshness and punchiness. Everything basically tasted washed out and my wife could detect their orange scented sanitiser spray in her food, she couldn't even eat it. There were two tandoori roti on the order and only one came. I called and was told I could have one delivered in about 30 minutes which of course was useless. I asked for my money back instead which was meant to be dropped off, but a week later I am still waiting. So they have STOLEN my money. The bread that did arrive was like cardboard so it was possibly a lucky escape. I strongly advise to not eat from here. It was a complete waste of money. We would normally go to Shakh Le India or Indian Nights and I would highly recommend either over this terrible...
Read moreAbsolutely ASTOUNDING quality meal, superb food, lovely and responsive staff.
We have take-away from Amaan Spice regularly, and occasionally have a sit-down meal.
Last night was a "sit-down" sort of evening, so myself, wife and eldest daughter sat-down for a meal.
The Biryani was, by-far, the best I have EVER had, from a restaurant or take away. I am normally more of a carnivore, but decided on the Biryani last-minute and WOW - full of flavour and texture, moist but not soggy, and just exquisite.
We have many Asian friends, and the food here is as good as any home-cooked Indian food you will find.
Can't recommend this place enough, and can't understand why it's not full every night either. Just stunning, a really great place to eat...
