Its alright but not enforcing rules on group limits, i get families want to play but the people in front of us had 5 kids with them so 8 of them it literally took three times as long. Due to large groups being let in it got to like course 3 out of 18 or whatever and people were piling up waiting for this one group to finish they must have taken well over 10 minutes per course.
Due to this people were just piling up behind them with no where to stand and obviously people were getting frustrated. Its a good bit of fun but felt some courses were just far too simple and repetitive and also blasting hot air when its roasting. Feel like they need a dedicated course for groups over a certain size because even if they did enforce the group rule families even in pairs would still stand around talking and waiting for each other anyway, most people going seem to be in pairs so takes around 5 minutes per course but when you've got a family of 8 in front of you then it takes well over 10-15 minutes just to go onto next one it just got annoying and i know 2 couples behind me just cut across or walked out and due to no space its not like people can stand out the way while waiting for people in front so people had to stand on the course or stand right next to you while your trying to play and also makes people uncomfortable with a audience watching them 24.7.
Also, due to people being inpatient you'll get comments and laughter and not once did we get onto a course without a bunch of other people stood literally right on us trying to rush us into going and the people in front at one point just started picking the balls up or not even trying. We booked for my boyfriends birthday and were up in Nottingham for a short time. Despite prebooking a timeslot we needed a month in advance we had to join the que to get in which was over 45 mins. We then got to the front desk and waited ages to be seen. We were unable to play as we had to collect our bags from our hotel by a certain time and due to queuing and waiting were an hour if not more behind schedule. We understood they were busy and ask what could be done. We were then offered a refund which I accepted. The lady sorted this and I inserted my card for a refund. She then oddly said 'when you have an issue with the refund just call us and we can sort it.' I didn't really understand or think too much of it although it was a little odd as if she was pre-empting an issue. Upon leaving I later checked and realised she had charged me. So I had currently paid for 2 games and played none!! I am now having a lot of hassle having to prove online bank statements etc to rectify the issue which was there fault in the first place and seemed to be done on purpose. They knew I was travelling far and could not return and are being incredibly unhelpful with the process. They have ignored my emails despite telling me to email the evidence which I have. Read moreWe (a party of 6) arrived at lost city crazy golf in Nottingham at 22:50, we thought it was late so asked the lady on reception if we had time to play. She said yes, they close at 1pm. We even double checked to see if we would cause them any issues with closing times, we were reassured we had time to play.
20 minutes into our game, a staff member (Isabelle?) approach us telling us to hurry along, she was impolite but we thought nothing of it. 20 minutes later we were aggressively approached by Finley, a staff member who told us we had to finish in the next 10 minutes. We explained that we were told we had until 1pm and he accused us of lying, he was very irate and confrontational.
We had to stop our game half way through and were thrown out. The level of customer service was nothing short of disgraceful.
They clearly just wanted to take our money near closing time and had no interest in letting us complete a game. Both Finley and Isabelle, were incredibly rude.
The customer service was appalling. We did not appreciate being called liars and being shouted at. We may have misunderstood what we were told at the beginning, however there is a way that the staff should handle it and this certainly was not it.
