KFC Portsmouth - Commercial Road — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I'm writing this review out of an extreme insulting incident from staff today. I've visited the store at 10:03 pm. A black guy was in the front till (no name badge on him) when I was placing the order, I had to redeem a reward, he did redeem it and it showed in my app but the receipt didn't came out first, might be a technical issue or whatever. So I've asked if I can apply my student card on it instead and he said we can't but to confirm it he would go and ask the manager. Meanwhile, a young Indian lady (no name badge too) came in and asked me if I need to place the order. Her attitude was extremely mean and arrogant. I have never experienced anything as rude from a staff here before . She was a bit confused on what she was talking about to me regarding the order. So I told her, if you could give me my order, I could go as I proved that my reward was already redeemed. I was in a hurry. Then the black guy came in using very offensive language and they were communicating right infront of me insulting and humiliating me. As a customer, it was really disappointing and overall they even gave me the wrong order after all. This experience was extremely disrespectful and I've never expected something from this store and staff. I hope you guys atleast do the needful as this is not a good service that is favorable to...

I visited the KFC at Commercial Road in Portsmouth, UK, on 07 August 2023. I came to England in June 2023. I'm originally from South Africa, and I've visited many different KFC branches across South Africa. This is by far the dirtiest KFC I've ever been to. It looked like a pigsty. There wasn't one table that was clean. I asked the manager to have the tables cleaned as all the tables were dirty. It will probably take a person 5 minutes to wipe the tables clean. He said they are short staffed, while he was just standing there not doing anything. It was a very poor excuse from him. As I told him that I'll be laying a formal complaint, he started giving me an attitude and said I can do that. I also told him that I won't be buying from that KFC again. He said it's alright.

For an establishment that sells food, this shop should close or the manager should be fired, as he obviously doesn't care about the franchise or the health of the customers. I could only imagine what the "food preparing area" looked like at the back. I wouldn't be surprised if it's also as dirty as the rest of the shop. I genuinely wouldn't recommend anyone...

So just now I got served by Pip who proceeded to call my number 3061. As I walked to the counter She placed the drink down, threw the bag with the meal on the table and walked away. I assumed she was not done and stopped momentarily when I realised I was actually served! I then said to her courtesy still had it place regardless and she walked away ignoring me. Her friend and coworker then came over to comment that she has a lot to do and at times the line is long. I said there is no line here it is just me at which point the friend commented “well this is just KFC after all” then walked away. I went to collect a straw only to see both cracking up with laughter, falling over each other in fits long before they saw me and could recover. Not sure if this is the kind of people I would want to front face my business even if this clearly a pit stop for them....
