Coco & Rum,Saltburn by the sea — Restaurant in England

It's MarKO Talking from Facebook Radio Went into to Saltburn with my stepdads family for a nice day out we went into this restaurant coco and rum as we all walked into the restaurant there was tree men waiters just staring at us all but not in a friendly way they weren't smileing very misrable yes this is definitely the way to greet people when they walk in your restaurant I looked around place was empty I think to myself I wonder y this lovely waiter girl came over and to our orders she was polite and smileing this is the way to get customers into your restaurant make them feel welcome and comfortable and they will come again and they will recommend your restaurant to other people or if u can on being miserable eventually u will be out of a job and your restaurant will close is this really what you want I then asked the girl who took our orders do they have WiFi in here please she said yes we do I had a bit of trouble getting connected I had my son with me and my. Stepdads niece and her to children her mam n dad my mam n my step dad I thanked the girl for her time also I noticed this guy behind this bar god as they say if looks could kill why are people like this what's wrong with people these days it's like they want your money but don't want to be friendly towards you totally the wrong attude to have maybe reading this they will have much better manners next time and be more socialble and friendly I keep saying this it costs nothing to be nice u will get more customers make more money everyone is happy your customers leave happy and smiling u are happy and smiling please read this carefully food and cup of tea was lovely such a shame about the staff expect the lovely girl that took our orders I have no problem with her unfortunately I...

What a wonderful Dinner... wow, we loved this. Unfortunately I totally forgot to photograph it all. From first setting foot into the intimate setting with the most gorgeous lights and atmosphere, to leaving, the staff were all extremely attentive. We had had a look online beforehand to check dietary details and it was so good for my 'dairy free' requirement. The menu is very varied and extremely fragrant. We ordered cocktails first having a Blue Hawaiin and a mojito. Food ordered was.. Dumplings and vegetable spring rolls. The dumplings were served in a steamer basket and in a sauce. Vegetable rolls were beautifully light and very flavoursome, alongside a chilli sauce for dipping. Mains were noodles, coconut rice, cashew nut chicken and sweet and sour chicken. All were so very good, I would have no trouble re ordering again. The coconut rice was unreal, I've never tasted something quite so amazing! We couldn't finish the meals, they are of good portions, so we shared both mains, therefore, we didn't order desserts. I would totally visit Coco and Rum again and am wondering already when our next visit will be!! TOTALLY DELICIOUS.... Fabulous 'date night!' If you can't visit you can get take outs...

Bit of a disappointing experience if I'm honest. The reviews were good I'd seen the location and the restaurant looks lovely however, after being shown to our seats we were asked by 3 members of staff a few minutes apart for our drinks order so we were concerned as to what we may actually get, it was like the staff had no idea what each other were doing. Our order was taken requesting medium spice which is typically what I would have. The food was soooo spicy, we managed to get the attention of the staff eventually to which we were advised to add lemon to ease the spice level and that if this didn't work she would change the meal. This was good and we were happy with this as a hopeful solution. The problem came in that she never returned and we struggled to get anyones attention, when she finally came over I had given up trying to eat it. All she said was order mild next time. Received the bill, already had the tip added which i don't like anyway, this should be a choice if you have received good service and you would like to tip the staff. I have to say in the majority of places we go we do tip but I would'nt have done here unfortunately. Bit of a disappointing...
