This is a wonderful cafe!!

I am sensitive (not allergic) to gluten so I struggle to find things I can eat when I visit Saltburn... I am able to eat sourdough due to the low % gluten in it. Half of the menu was sourdough based rather than another bread, which made my entire week! I had a Brie, Bacon and Scotch Bonnet Jam Toastie and it was absolutely gorgeous. Definitely the best meal I've eaten in Saltburn. Don't even get me started on the Mocha 😻. My brother had a special hot chocolate and it was also very very nice. You can literally taste the difference between this store's cream/marshmallows and your standard ones - WOW.

The customer service was fantastic despite it being very busy. Thank you to everyone who was working today!

I rate the atmosphere a 3 as it is a very very cramped space and my fat behind could barely squeeze past other...

Disappointing is what comes to mind. Having travelled to Saltburn to spend a few hours and have a bite to eat we thought we would try The Sitting Room, dirty, wobbly table didn't get us off to a good start and a waitress who thought we had ordered when we hadn't !!! Only one stirrer and no sugar for two hot drinks. We ordered two bacon sandwiches one with no butter, no sauce and well done bacon, the sandwiches came but both had sauce, butter and bacon not well crispy. The waitress then told us " they must be for somebody else". She took both back when they came back no napkins and no offer of condiments or cutlery. The floor where we sat was covered in spilt milkshske and cigarette ends. Not the best...

We waited to be seated, we asked for a table outside. The lady said that was fine she would come for our order. We waited about 10 minutes no one came. Another gentleman waited to be seated and a waitress said for him to wait for the table to be cleared. I asked if she could take the dirty pots from our table. The waitress was very rude and said we should have waited to be seated. I explained that we did and was told our order would be taken. There was no apology but were told to move so she could clear the table. We did but decided not to stop. We were treated very rudely and...
