A 17th century townhouse right next door to Stirling Castle. Like the castle itself, some of the restoration efforts actually undermine the experience by replacing one's imagination of what may have been with a mediocre reproduction.

As you can get free entry as part of your entry to Stirling Castle this is a great place to visit and soak up some of the old history that is part of this building. You can visit the old kitchens and marvel at the space they had to cook and the fact that they were able to feed so many with so little. I was pretty underwhelmed. There is nothing very unique to see. Admission is included with your ticket to Stirling Castle and it's a good thing because I can't imagine there being any other reason people would visit.
