A really fun place for a group of friends or a couple! We decided to give Boom a try as part of our anniversary. We did the "Nolf" first, which was a really fun series of games, I could see kids really enjoying it (allowed with adults until 7pm then 18+) - only issue was a few of the bits seemed a bit broken and in need of maintenance. A few of the timers didn't work, people who were before us would leave games in a mess (mainly the beer pong style game and the shooting range), so we'd have to clean up first before our turn (we always cleaned up after ourselves for people after, but that's not a staff issue at all, I know there's only so much that can be done about that!). The shooting range at the end was REALLY broken. A lot of the nerf bullets were on the range, but because of the wire fence no one could reach them, so we had 3 bullets between us to use, we just took turns. The targets wouldn't go down even when hit, and they seemed to be like... Duct taped together a wee bit. šŸ˜‚ But it was still good fun (and I WRECKED my husband overall so bonus points) and pretty cheap! After we had a drink, and the drinks are like... In between expensive and reasonable. They're more expensive than I'd typically pay or want to pay for a drink, but not so bad that I'd complain. We just had 1 drink each as we were on a budget. The cocktail I had was delicious, and the bar staff were so lovely, the guy who served us was fantastic. We played AR Darts after and it was GREAT fun! Worked flawlessly, staff explained it all really well, again they were so lovely, and I lost spectacularly! We think the darts might be more fun with more people because there were quite a few team names, and if you had 6-8 people it would work out at like Ā£5 per person for an hour which is amazing for an hour of really good fun in city center. It's great if you have pals who don't drink too, it's a fun sober option which I really appreciate! Would 100% be back.

We got the birthday package for my sisters 18th to start the night—so fun!! We chose to do darts and axe throwing. We had booked on a whim and were a bit unsure about the axe throwing in particular. However, the host Billy was so welcoming. He demonstrated how to do it at the start but he also stays through the round and gives tips to make sure everyone can have a try and feel more confident. Even my gran was throwing axes!!! As part of the birthday package we got two drinks too and the selection was great. The bar staff were fast and really lovely. I’ve been with friends casually before but I’d definitely book another package—my sister also said she’d like to bring her friends when they turn 18 šŸ˜‚

Came to Glasgow for a quick trip to the passport office, ended up popping in here just to enquire about the axe throwing, and by the time we had left we had played just about every game they offer, spent 8 hours in there, and ended up needing to book a last minute hotel! The games were all an absolute blast, however, the staff truly made the experience wonderful, in particular, Beth, Scott and Lez were all some of the most helpful, friendly and attentive staff members we’ve ever met. Highly recommend and will inevitably make the journey back to Glasgow just for this bar again.

Update 2** Attended again at the weekend and the assistant General manager stuck to her word and looked after us. This time the place was a little quieter and the games we played worked alot better. The darts when we played wasnt working properly and after about 30 minutes of trying to work out if it was us being daft or the system being broken I asked a member of staff who showed me there is a little magnet type thing and if you spin the darts that aren't being tracked properly on it, it'll make it work. Honestly this wasted half our darts time and frustrated us so I think a small sign telling people how to fix this would make things alot better. We played pool and shuffleboard and apart from the buttons on 1 of the shuffle boards being a bit damaged and there being no chalk for the pool cues the games were pretty fun. We never played the Nolf game again so cant comment on them. The bar staff were friendly and we really had a decent time. Im not sure if il make it a regular thing but would recommend it to a group if we were going into Glasgow.

On another note nothing to do with the venue. The location is starting to look a bit dodgy and I wouldn't recommend this area to younger adults or smaller groups. They have security but I wouldn't feel 100% safe if I was out just me and my partner.

Hope this helps someone

Update** I have been contacted by the assistant general manager and been told this is not how things normally run and the staff had dropped the ball this occasion. The manager has arranged for my group to go back and give them another shot, which is a really nice gesture. I will update the review again once we have been.

This was highly disappointing. We had a party of 10 and booked the Nolf and darts. The darts were super fun although the boards are squint and the machines need calibrated because you land a shot and it says you missed, etc. The staff are not rude but not very welcoming at the same time it wasn't a nice experience. The Nolf is a rip-off. We paid £90 to try to play on broken "holes" and had no staff around to ask for assistance. If you're thinking of taking a group here, please read this review and go elsewhere. I wish I had taken photographs at how run down this Nolf experience is, and they have the cheek to charge £9 a head. Iv sent a complaint in i will update this review with the outcome or if I even...

This place has such good potential.... completely ruined by there daft booking system...

Firstly, there were more staff than customers... despite this, the 1 bar staff took almost 15 mins to make 3 cocktails for the other 3 customers before serving us.. Secondly, the axe throwing was actually quite fun.... Thirdly, the place is completely ruined by 2 things. There booking system and there refusal to accept any form of cash...

We booked axe throwing, that was good fun, so much fun that we decided to stay and try some more games. We asked to book darts, despite the boards being empty (only 1 had been used)since we arrived. They insisted that we book it and wait an additional 30 mins... whole waiting next to the Dard board (that no one had used) we decided to have a game of pool... they then insisted that we would need to book a game of pool on the completely empty tables and the minimum time was 45 mins.... we then looked at other games to fill our time... almost every single one was totally empty... but the desk insists that you book a time slot on them..... the time slots were longer than the wait we had for our darts booking... we then decided to have a drink... after waiting 15 mins for the 1 bar staff member to make 3 cocktails, we bought 3 redbulls, they refused to take cash, again we had to pay with card, we decided to try there punch bag machine. Again, no cash... it only accepted card.. (Ā£1.90 to punch it twice...)

Due to the silly booking system and card only, we didn't order any more drinks, we didn't play any more games and after darts, we left and went somewhere without the daft booking system and card payments.

We saw at least 40 people leave due to the exact same reason. Loosing this business an absolute fortune! This place will be closed within 12 months... 100% such a shame as it has the potential of making a lot of money without the stupid rules...
