This is a really beautiful church, it survived the reformation and did a marvellous Palm Sunday service. They were all raving about the new coffee area which was good but not sure about digging up bones and spending a quarter of a mil on it and the bookshop but hey, none of my business. The vicar is a young man of 37 and there’s a “vicaress” with multi coloured hair which frankly, well anyway. I don’t, yeah, it’s just, Y’know. Put it this way, if I was in her position I’d want people talking about the power of my sermon not the colour of my hair but there we are. The elderly parishioners think it’s terribly exciting and cool and the vicars wife has a nose ring and all this you know. So I guess it’s a forward thinking church. The new vicar is also high church I’ve heard. The best bit was the choir I think. The building is breathtaking and there’s all sorts to look at. It’s a happening place and we’ll worth a visit. Read moreAn old, beautiful church, with gorgeous stained glass windows and artwork, the interior is "Heavenly ", definitely a place to come and say a quick prayer, or just shut out the World. Everyone is welcome here, doors are open most days. Little bric a brac sales and coffee morning's are often inside raising money for good causes. Even if you're not religious, you'll be welcome here, no one will disturb you if you just want some peace and quiet.
