Thinking I was a valued customer of over 20 years, I was proven wrong today. I have been a customer of this store since 2015 but longer with this Company. Have always had my payments on auto pay. Started receiving phone calls over the last week. Returned called and was informed I owed a remaining balance. When questioned why when I'm on auto pay, the response was due to a system error because my remaining balance was lower than my usual monthly payment. Understood that, and gave the authorization to for them to process the remaining balance that should have been auto payed a month prior. This morning while at a formal function, I received yet another phone call. I stepped out and answered. While speaking with Tracey, she stated she was calling about the remaining balance. I explained that I had already authorized for the payment to be taken out. She informed me of yet another system error that deleted all that information out of their system. I informed Tracey that I was at a function and would call her back afterwards to give her the information. This is when Tracey begins to speak to me in a different tone informing me of late fees and ect.. like I am a delinquent. I really became disturbed. Instead of handling it over the phone, I went into the store thinking I would have a better experience. But no, I then met their guard witch, Kelley. While speaking with Tracey, Kelley rolls her chair out of her office to interject her two cents, not once addressing me a as a customer. Honestly, it seemed like a street scene for her. Only after asking another associate for Stacey, whom I dealt with for years, the store manager appears. Sad to say that Stacey is no longer with the store, but I instantly felt why they are in the demised state. Kelley, just because I'm an African American female, I still have value. I am educated and without knowing any of this, should have been treated like a valued customer. Farmers, I know this is not the first complaint on this crew. There is a big need for customer service training. I think there may be hope for Tracey, but Kelley is far gone with her nasty attitude and rudeness. And to think, I just referred two new families to the area to this...
Read moreMy 93 year old mother went in on August 28 to take advantage of the Labor Day sale. Purchased a rocker recliner. Said they would order her chair and would be able to pick it uo on September 5th. Her 71 year old son went to pick up the chair and the tried to send him with the wrong item. Caught the mistake returned the chair for the correct ch. The manager returned the chair and instead of giving us the correct chair he bate and switched product send the son home with a similar chair but a cheaper version, a Farmers Home product with cheaper construction. Took the cheaper chair back and the told me it would have to pay mor money the the correct chair that my mother had purchased. When I contacted Brian throught Farmers Home and Furniture corporate office he was no help at all. Brian said he was over the operation of 12 stores in the George/South Carolina area. He called back to say all he could do was to refund her mone and refund the extra money that was taken for the chair that they wrer trying to force my mother in taking an inferior product after the took back the first chair and did not extend the sale price after her son returned the first chair. Next time I'll check with the Better Business Bureau on not onley the store at which I plan to do business but also their corporate office as well. I went back after the fact and the day I checked the Augusta, Georgia, Better Business Bureau web site on September 5th and the Farmers Home Furniture corporate office only had a 2 out of a possible 5 ratings.. You can bett I will do a better job of protecting my mother from individuals the want to pray on the weak and elderly. Borders on elder abuse in my opinion...she's still waiting on the refund of her money the has to be sent out from the corporate office in Georgia. I would advise anyone to be very careful when dealing with this company. This is the cheapest company that I have ever worked with in my 32 +- years in supply...
Read moreI don’t write reviews often. But this has been the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had. I moved and sold my living room and bedroom furniture before. So I needed to replace it. A friend recommended FHF. I went in had a great experience. I decided instead of paying cash I would finance. I never received a bill. they called to process payments 🙄 I asked is this how you do payments? Yes we call you, ok that’s fine. Not ideal but I’ll roll with it. The first three months they call me to make the payment over the phone I was driving or in the middle of something. Each time I had to read off my cc# so I asked if they could hold it on file to just push payment faster. They said yes no worries. Ok great so it will be less time when they call and I can take the call without needing my card near by! This month I received no call so I reached out. I have spent the last 30mins being passed around to take my payment. I had a hair appointment so hopped in my car to finally get the last person tell me I had to read my card information because they can’t use what they have on file. I asked what if I give the last 4. Nope full number oh and we don’t call you, you need to call us.
Someone higher level please give your customers other options for making payment. This is a nightmare! I’m literally trying to...
