Big 5 Sporting Goods — Local services in Alameda

I have been shopping at the Big 5 in Alameda for many years, because of their location. The problem I have in general and today in particular is customer service. I tried to get some help at the gun counter but making eye contact was not enough for the man behind the counter who was on a ladder, talking to the cashier, pretending to be stocking stuff on the shelves. He looked at me, then went back to talking. So, I said, can I get some help here? He came over and got out the guns I asked to see and as I looked at them, he just stared at me, just stared. I asked to see one in the case and he told me the ones I was looking at were much better, even though one was cheaper. But he was right, the one in the case was cheap plastic, and I agreed with him. But here's the lovely thing he said as he was putting it away, "I TOLD YOU SOO." He said it very quietly in a sing-song voice, but I heard it perfectly and said, really? I told you so? I can't even see why it's not as good for myself? I'm supposed to just believe every snotty thing that comes out of your mouth? He started to apologize but I just left. And I was very kind and asked them to use the restroom. I'm an older gentleman. I asked him to use the restroom and they said you got to go across the street . Very rudely! And I said okay. Horrible. Who has items that they refuse to sale??? BIG 5 This is literally the SECOND time I have been there to buy an item and they REFUSE to let me pay for it. You got it , check, in stock, check, well then what’s the problem, I can see if I was buying weapons BUT IM NOT!!! Background check on a $44 book bag please.
