T.J. Maxx — Attraction in Alameda

I've never been so embarrassed in my life I got kicked out maybe perhaps for not spending money fast enough? I don't know but what I do know is that I didn't steal anything and don't feel that I was doing anything suspicious of stealing I may have looked a little Haggard because I've been working on my truck engine and my hands are stained with black grease and my shirt is a little dirty but other than that I just don't understand how they can treat customers like this. I was just saying how I love Ross for being able to buy an entire new outfit if I work overnight and have not been home to get new clothes they have a good selection at good prices but now I'm afraid to go in there again. With a name Bill Jones and a birthday July 4th I'm as American as apple pie and baseball, but now I have to be afraid of some English as a second language gentleman who is not born in America treating me...

Well, it's T J Maxx.....you gotta love it for the designer duds & things they stock at outlet prices! But this day, somehow the inventory didn't seem too exciting to me. I went in there all excited hoping to find just the right party dress and accompanying accessories, having had perused their collection online; and totally expected to find an accurate sampling of the wares displayed on their website.

Alas! That was not to be. The offerings were sparse and rather blah. I would've gone to Ross Stores around the corner from there, butt I was tired out from trying out dresses that weren't tailored to spec for the size indicated on the label.

Although, all was not for naught. I did end up leaving the store with a couple of dresses and some lingerie to go...

I love TJMAXX and the selection they always have!

Why I went: closets TJMAXX to me!

Parking: shares a lot to Khols, Ross, Trader Joe's, and other shops in the same plaza.

Customer service: they are great! The cashier remembered us the next time we came in and made a joke and another cashier the next time we went in chatted with me and was really friendly. Plus, you can return an item if you don't want it anymore even after wearing it or taking it out the package.

Selection: clothes, furniture, shoes, bathroom stuff, and decorations. My only complaint is that they don't have a shoe selection for men.

Prices: very reasonable!!
