Customer service is more of a priority. Especially when it comes to checkout.
It has a nice deli area. Fresh hot food = Soups, Chicken rotisserie or fried, pastas, sides. A burrito bar and a full range salad bar. You can also order cook to order food but I don't know much beyond hamburgers.
They have a stone oven for making fresh pizzas. They would be the best in town but the crust is hard and they have refused to fix that. I was impressed with their hot deli bar at first but I feel like the quality and selection has slipped.
The bakery is nice with many different kinds of fresh breads made daily. They have various vendor made sweets as well as fresh made. I went crazy over pumpkin cookies they made during the holidays. In addition they make cakes to order and have ice cream cakes.
They have a bar in the store! They sell 24 beers on tap. They will let you sample for taste or you can buy a sample paddle of 4 or 5 different beers. They often switch beers out, only keeping the most popular. You can buy any of the selections in the alcohol department to take some home. They also have approx 10+ wines available for drinking at any given time. There is no hard alcohol available in the bar.
Another cool feature is that they have some form of music entertainment (unplugged) style on weekends. I am not sure if they are still doing that. In addition there are tv's and wifi available. Just as an impression, it seems there is a higher quality clientele than what you see at other bars in town.
Meat department. I personally think the Lowes market in Tularosa has some beautiful cuts of meat. This one, not so much in my opinion.
Produce department. Often has good deals, attention to detail and a decent selection. I don't have too much of an opinion here.
Alcohol Department. They have the best selection in town. They also often have the best on sale items in town. I like to try new beers and this is the place I go for that. They have a create your own six pack section. Choose any 6 beers you want to try. I often use this when I am afraid of not liking a new beer I want to try.
In summary, I would say that it is my favorite supermarket in town. I don't always go there but I do always go there for certain things. They tend to have higher prices but there is always a good selection of sales going on. They do well with balancing their sales items to keep you coming back.
I have also seen on more than one occasion that they will check their system to see if they can get a hard to find item for you. In some cases you might have to buy a case of it because it has no shelf space. In other cases, they may get it on the shelf but it will be deleted later on if it...

This review update makes me sad. Changing from 5 stars to 1 star. Thereâs an unsanitary flaw at Loweâs Signature, and itâs right at the front of the store.
The pepper roasting shed is filthy. The big metal roasting drum has bird poo and bits of roasted peppers on it. Thereâs an open box, lined with a trash bag, of pepper bits and other food garbage, thatâs been sitting on the ground for THREE MONTHS. The tall manager, I think his name is John, and I spoke at great length about this disgusting unsanitary mess over ninety days ago. I advised him of the open trash box, bird poo, cigarette butts, old poblano pepper boxes, and un-emptied trash bins. Week after week, nothing changes. A month after our first chat, I called the store and advised another manager about the problem. He said he would âtalk to the manager who runs that departmentâ. âŚ.Another month goes by. STILL NO CHANGE. The exact same boxes and nasty food bits are on the roasting drum. Spoke to John a third time and he claimed he had âspoken with the managerâ but gave me no other info. Situation felt slightly standoffish. I asked John âis this the standard of cleanliness that Loweâs is happy with?â He didnât answer me. WELLâŚthe saga continues. Itâs May 9th 2025 as I write this review update and the problem is STILL not fixed. Please find pictures attached as proof.
Loweâs Corporate office will be getting a call from me. The health department should shut that roasting shed down until itâs sanitized. Shame on Loweâs management for ignoring this embarrassing and disgusting monument to their laziness. For fear of ingesting bird crap or some other foodborne pathogen, I will never ever buy roasted peppers from Loweâs.
As a Chef, Iâm in the grocery store on average 4 days a week. Fantastic produce! Fresh and rotated/stocked. Great beer selection! Love the little tap roomâŚawesome selection of draft beer. Stunning low prices on high end cheese such as big blocks of the best Muenster cheese Iâve ever had!! Meat market always has fresh selections for competitive prices. And finally, the tortilla bakery in the store makes delicious flour tortillas and home style tortilla chips. Highly recommended! Top marks yall. As a professional I have impossibly high standards for grocers and other food vendors. Yall...
Read moreThis was my first visit to Lowe's Market. I was really amazed at what this market has to offer. In addition to the items usually found in the deli, they had a wide array of imported meats and cheeses that I haven't seen in other stores in the area, and freshly prepared and packaged California rolls and sushi (six or more different kinds I believe).
They have an absolutely huge selection of wines and beers, many of which I have never seen before, and ethnic and health-foods that aren't available in other stores. There is also an entire freezer section stocked with several different flavors of frozen yogurt as well as a big selection of ice cream and other frozen treats.
i expected the prices to be much higher than the other stores in town, and although some prices were a bit higher, I found many items for a considerably low price (Powerade under $.50 each rather than $1.00 each at the "discount" store).
In addition to deli items, Lowe's offers freshly cooked pizza, sandwiches, soups, delicious smelling baked goods, a coffee shop, and a bar-area where you can have a cold beer with your lunch/dinner before shopping.
The highlight for me was the meat counter where I bought a ribeye steak that I grilled that evening; it was tender and juicy, and big enough to share (and at a price that was a bit lower than the store I usually shop at).
The only section that I found lacking was the pet food aisle; however, I was so impressed by the rest of the store that I didn't mind making a stop at my usual store the following day to buy my preferred brand...
