From the moment we walked in we were greeting with a smile and friendly atmosphere. I asked the woman behind the counter for her recommendation as everything looked amazing and she recommended the street tacos which I got with all meat flavors. My spouse got a steak smothered burrito. I cannot emphasize how absolutely amazing every single thing was. The pork was tender and moist, the brisket was smokey with just a touch of spice. My new favorite spot!! Absolute must try if you enjoy mexican food or BBQ (try the brisket sandwich). Can't wait to return!

Absolutely delicious and the staff/owners are awesome!! Came from out of town with my family and everything was phenomenal!! Thank you so much for such a great meal(s)!! We ate here for breakfast lunch AND DINNER (psst-it was so damn good we went back for more) the fry bread tostada was the best, the enchiladas were full of flavor and the pulled pork sandwich was mouthwatering. Street tacos were on point!!!

Really loved the food here. I had the flautas Mexicans and charro beans. Was absolutely delicious. Both the red and green sauce were very flavorful, there was a lot of chicken in the flautas and it was cooked perfectly. Also I'm a sucker for red sauce and it was definitely full of robust flavor. It's a very cute little hole in the wall place and honestly couldn't imagine it any other way. It's really good.

Looks as though lightning strikes twice in same place. Regrettably left a negative review from a visit on father's day. 3 of us were ignored for an hour despite repeated requests for some service. See the review. There was no exaggeration or embellishment of actual experience. Neglected to report that a menu item I had come expressly for was not available. Website listed a pecan chicken and was told information was outdated??? Here's the rub now; in reply to my review I got a boilerplate standard reply of regret and request for my personal contact info. Which I promptly inputted to the website-TWICE. No reply has been received by text, call or email. So twice now I've been ignored here. No reply would have been less inconsiderate than a disingenuous pre set one click reply expressing concern. Im in a distinct minority here with my experience I know. But my takeaway now is this was a fine restaurant that to a degree has " jumped the shark " if you get the reference. I posed a question previously as to returning for a redeeming visit as management had requested. The answer now is conclusively NO! The old idiom that you cant please everyone still rings true. But after repeated requests, if you CARE you can at least...

Listen, there are a lot of places in NM doing tacos. We know this. La Cocinita is the kind of hole in the wall you hope to find every time you go somewhere.

It's small, unassuming, and easy to miss right off white sands.

But you can tell by the smell of the food when you come in, they know what they are doing in there.

Tried both kinds of tacos and the flautas mexicanas: ate them all before we drove away.

Thank you for a great lunch; it's an increasing rare thing these days. And better yet, at a really...
