A charming and well maintained little museum featuring exhibits on the history, the art, and the collections of the people from the San Luis valley. One beautiful carved Jade collection was particularly stunning (not pictured). There's information on the history of Zebulon Pike. The museum is a 1-2 hour self-guided tour, however we arrived on a weekday and were fortunate enough to get a guided tour from the curator himself. Veterans and Military Free admission.

This is an Alimosa must see. The staff volunteers are sweet ladies with a trove of local knowledge about early settler pioneers, Native Americans, local history and amazing artist
