Lake Spenard — Attraction in Alaska

Beautiful area overlooking Lake Spenard, the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport and the largest Floatplane Base in the world (Lake Hood). Was fortunate enough to meet a floatplane owner that spoke to me about owning and operating a floatplane out of this base. While it was winter (see pics), I can not imagine how beautiful this space would be in the summer with planes coming in and out of this lake. I rented an Airbnb right near the lake, and walked down to this park daily. Clean area, plenty of parking for a small park with several receptacles for your trash. A few people had dogs which were able to run around in the area, they also provided dog waste bags which was nice you didn't see very many messes around. It was fun to watch the planes...
