There was plenty of street parking although we were there around lunchtime in the middle of the week. It seems like this was once a really nice downtown area. It still is cute, but there isn't much here anymore. The welcome center has some history to it, so that was fun to read about. You are right on the river. Plenty of sidewalk which leads to the Riverfront Trail! Looks like there used to be some walkways that led out over the water, but they don't seem to be maintained anymore as they're submerged in water. Overall, it is a pretty area to spend some time alone or with the family!

I had a fabulous visit today with Ms Sandy, Ms Audry and Brett. I’m telling you the southern hospitality, and their charm is so delightful. Ms Sandy even took the time to talk to me about a children’s book that promotes literacy, he is a local. Malcolm Mitchell. There is a lot to do around there like seeing the turtle park, and Ray Charles statue that was fabulous. Onto the civil rights movement. Even learning about how they are gathering native American spear heads from the river. When you stop, please tell the ladies that Cindy said hi. I WOULD RECOMMEND

I recently visited the Albany Welcome Center at 112 N Front St, in Albany, GA. I took a day trip to Albany to visit the area. I parked near the Welcome Center and took a nice walk from the Center to the Ray Charles Park and back. The people at the center were very nice and helpful with my trip. It's a beautiful center and the entire area was worth the walk

I had a number of trips discovering the plaza while in Albany lately. It is a beautiful place. Its like a haven of relaxed atmosphere in the insanity of life.2 lakes are surrounded by office blocks on one side and The Egg on the other side At the back a stage area was being set up for a concert. On the 1st occasion I was there the place was deserted. last occasion there I enjoyed a free concert with lots of stalls selling food This Center is a great facility for...
