Albany Tag Office — Local services in Albany

My initial experience(23 Dec 2024) was fine but when I went back (6 Jan 2025) after two weeks of waiting to hear from them, I discovered the supervisor had been out sick for two weeks and no one in the office knew what to do. Talk about job security😂😂 They called her at home I met with her the next day(7 Jan 2025)she was very pleasant and got my tag for me. So I called back today (10 Jan 2025) only to be told she is out today,!! the young lady that I spoke to did inform me that the document I was calling about could take up to 30 days to process and they would call me when it was ready🙃 So now I wait. I just Love our Government 😂😂😂 Now I must say, the staff and the supervisor was very polite, I mean they went the extra mile to ensure I did not leave on the 7th without my "TAG 2025" The document I am waiting for is to be handled by the tax collectors office, let's see how efficient they are. I pray whom ever has to process this is in great health and I do not have to wait...

Been there 3 times and haven't been able to get my tag. First time I took off from work, turns out they were doing systems upgrades and were closed. Second time I took off from work, I'm told I needed to bring additional documentation. They could have advised me over the phone, but they never pick up when you call, so I had to go in person. Third time, I went after work. I took off 30 minutes early to get there 20 minutes before closing. Door was already locked. The woman at the door said they were closed early because they are understaffed and had a line. However, I wasn't treated rudely. It's just frustrating having to keep coming back again, and again.

If I could give zero stars I would! Terrible service! Terrible attitude! I had to go twice, both times and with 2 separate woman, and such bad attitude! I even asked how are you today? I was ignored. Today when I went to get my car registered, the girl was too busy on her Bluetooth talking to someone (she put her mask on so she can “hide” it) I asked her a question- I was ignored. When she was ready to speak to me, she told the person on the phone (personal call) hold on I have to tell this lady something! I guess you can treat people however you would like when you have a government job and you can’t bring your service to...
