Kine African Hair Braiding — Local services in Albany

Huh where do I begin let me just say this is not my first visit to this shop but is by far the worst experience yet I went for micro and Idk what I got the lady didn’t braid pass my hair she tied the knot on my hair and when cutting the shedding her she cut chunks of my hair that she had left out of the braid and this isn’t even the worst part a couple hours into the service I start seeing rats 🐀 not mice but rats running back and forth from the back to there waiting area 🤦🏾‍♀️ I was literally afraid for my life....after sitting for hours she asked did I just wanted to come back to finish tomorrow I said sure because I was just ready to get the hell out of there I went and let another shop finish my hair they said it was wrong and she didn’t know what she was doing I then went back to get my money back from her I did wear the still for about two weeks because my head was sore this is definitely the worst experience ever they don’t even deserve the one star...

Bad customer service I went to the shop days before to make and appointment and ask for pricing. I was told the price was $80 for the style I wanted by the other worker that works there. When I got to my appointment Kine told me my hair was to short for the style I wanted. And then preceded to tell me $180 but called herself gave me $20 discount. Kine did not do my hair the way I showed her in the picture and her and worker was very rude talking in their native language the entire time. I truly hate my hair but will wear it because I spent my hard earned money on it. I will never visit her shop again ladies please avoid this shop their are plenty other African braiding shops...

Kine has moved to 118 North Jackson St in downtown Albany right next to Subway. I have been coming to her for over 10 years and I will continue to follow her as long as she's in the Albany area. 😃 Her location is very spacious, neat, clean and peaceful.
