Thronateeska Heritage Center — Attraction in Albany

We were excited to visit the Heritage Center after reading the rave reviews. Sadly, it didn't meet our expectations. The staff member was not welcoming and over half the space was devoid of any type of exhibits. We were told it was empty until they decide what to put there next. We paid $21 for 4 adults and the only thing on display was a small exhibit about Ellis Island. We paid extra for entrance to the planetarium which was a good experience. They're open from 10-4 Tuesday through Saturday. They have a history museum and a planetarium. They host birthday parties and you can rent out the old train station for weddings and other gatherings. Photos did not...

I really enjoyed the planetarium show on Black Holes. The science museum was also great for a free admission attraction. I hope to return when the air conditioning is repaired in the history museum to see...
