Update as of 5/6/25: Youāve officially lost a loyal customer. and Iām 100% certain youāve lost many more. Your store is dead. Do you know why? Because of your prices. What you seem to not understand is that because some obscure item sells online for a certain amount you feel like you can get that in store. You are wrong! eBay has millions of customers and eyes and people are looking for certain items. If youāre gonna price things as eBay has them, then people are going to stop coming and just buy it online. Way easier. The way youāre pricing stuff is asinine and clueless. Until that changes Iām not coming back.
Since the new manager came from the Salem store this place took an absolute dive. I use to come here almost daily and would walk out with something every time. Now thereās hardly anything ever new on the shelves and if there is the price is WAY TOO MUCH! Went in today and they had 95.00 on a pair of used womenās boots. USED! Get a clue please and come back to reality SUPER THRIFT!
Edit: Just because something sells on eBay for 1000 dollars does NOT mean it will sell locally ,, IN A THRIFT STORE for that much! eBay has MILLIONS of people on their site daily. Super thrift as well as most local thrift stores have no idea of...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDonāt shop here. This place used to be a great little thrift store, but is now not worth the trip. They have decided that they are a boutique that can ask the same prices and higher than eBay.
Ever since they rebranded, they think they are a high end boutique and want to use eBay as their price guide. Itās a waste of time 99% of the time and they have no desire for repeat customers.
This place is a case study on how to alienate your repeat customers, drive away long time customers and turn a formerly well loved thrift store into a dump that is not worth the trip.
Donāt trust the fake, bribed for 5 star reviews, they are not real and do not reflect how much of a dump this place has become. Against the Google terms of service, they offer customers free stuff for reviews. I have reported them to Google for doing so.
Do not trust them. Donate somewhere else that does not think that they are the same as eBay. Anything you give them will be wasted, after they price it astronomically or throw it in the trash.
Terrible, terrible store. Went from the best between Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon to being the worst. Even Goodwill is better now, and that takes some real effort to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI absolutely love thrift shopping, and was referred to the Albany Teen Challenge by a friend in Corvallis, who said that it was her favorite. Visited the store last Thursday for the first time. Thought the prices were very high for the quality of products, did not get a single greet by an employee while the hour or more that I was browsing. Not until I was ready to check out did anyone speak to me. There was a young man that had just arrived for his shift, behind the counter, and I noticed a collectable item in the locked case that brought back fond memories of my childhood. I mentioned this to him and he started telling me how he had just looked up the history of the item and how he determined the price. He was very courteous, nice and knowledgeable. He was the Only positive experience. Also the entire store was not clean, left feeling dirty. Was disappointed because I have shopped the Teen Challenge in Lebanon for the past 18 Years and always had...
