We were new to ABQ 6 years ago, and the Cathedral was recommended by several of our church musician friends. We attended a service about three months prior to moving to ABQ, and although the inital experience was not stellar, we came back for Christmas Eve, and felt much more welcomed at that time. Fast forward to mid-pandemic and we began to attend online, then joined in person in the fall of 2020. There are many events weekly and monthly, as well as special events like concerts and recitals. Read moreJust finished hearing the choir and orchestra perform a power-packed oratorio at St John's. The Messiah. The performance was on-point perfection, and also incorporated a little humor that was great for the family as well (Handel walking out from the audience was brilliant). There is nothing "local" about this local talent, if you know what I mean.
