Edited review: When I checked in the girl at the front desk showed me no paperwork, didn't have me sign anything -- she just looked at my ID, scanned my credit card and gave me room keys. I thought to ask what the room rate was and she just said $415. That, over our 3 night stay, was more than what it was when we booked it. I contacted my friend and she said that she had talked to a girl on the phone that said she could make the reservation on the app and just put a deposit down - super easy. When she double checked the app the pricing had gone away so we thought we had been price gouged. The only proof we had was that I had venmo'd half the cost of the room to her right after she booked it. No email confirmation, nothing. We later found out that this was not the case. The Sunday night rate evened us out to the total that we were originally quoted. But this could have been avoided if we got any kind of paperwork. We would have stopped at the front desk but they seemed really overwhelmed any time we were up there and we didn't want to stand around and wait.

We didn't find out that they charged nightly for parking until we got our bill, that was a surprise. It's especially a surprise because you have to walk across a dimly lit alley to get to the gated parking area and the gate's sensor only worked once or twice for us. All the other times one of us had to get out of the car, walk out, and scan our key card. Definitely dangerous in that area - and I'm not sure what solo drivers did to get out or if they had the risk of the gate closing before driving out (or getting their car stolen by someone that knows this is broken all of the time and that people have to leave their cars to get out).

They never warned me about the neighborhood that the hotel was in. I checked in and decided to walk to a restaurant about a half a mile down. I had been sitting on planes all day and I needed to stretch my legs! Half way into my walk I had to go through a tunnel, that was my only option. Mind you, it was broad daylight, but I felt like my life was in danger.

The service was great in the restaurant but the food was terrible. The chicken on the salad was all grizzle and inedible. The tacos were so hot we could not stomach them. One positive note from our stay - the server/bartender we had was wonderful. They were the only ones that were nice to us.

One of the nights our toilet clogged. We called the front desk and waited a couple of hours. When I called back they finally sent up the night audit guy. I opened the door and he went to hand me the plunger. I did not feel comfortable doing maintenance in a hotel so I asked him to do it. He was clearly angry at this. He huffed, plunged the toilet without lifting the seat, splashed dirty toilet water everywhere and walked out with a soaking wet plunger dripping all over the floor -- through our room and down the hall.

I saw that the hotel had charged my credit card the full amount and incidentals but I figured that it would be credited since my best friend said that she was charged. When I looked at my statement on Sunday I saw that it had posted without any credits. I panicked and called my friend to confirm that she too had been charged and she had so I decided to call the hotel. I asked for a manager and they said there was never a manager on duty on Sundays. The girl looked at our bill and said that we weren't double charged and she could not do anything. She told me I would have to dispute it with my credit card company/bank. I said no, "you are the one that double charged me, this has to be fixed on your end." She responded that SHE did not double charge me and I would have to call the next day for the manager - and HUNG UP ON ME. I did not yell at her, I did not swear at her, I did not call her a name. Yes, I was upset, but I did not say something that would warrant...

I was overall impressed with this location! The rooms were nice and comfortable! The check in staff was kind and helpful. There was a cute bar downstairs and we decided to stop in for some drinks. The two bartenders were awesome, extremely attentive and made some of the best drinks I’ve ever had. We weren’t planning on doing dinner here because didn’t anticipate hotel food being delicious but we were pleasantly surprised with the empanadas so decided to stay for dinner. The food was honestly amazing I was so impressed. We had the empanadas, steak tacos, and chicken carbonara. Can’t emphasize how impressed I was with the food. The only complaint I would have about my entire stay was the rude lady in the restaurant that harassed and yelled at the staff and made everyone in the restaurant uncomfortable. She started yelling at one of the bartenders for asking her why she asked her if she was okay so many times, even though the bartender informed her that it’s her job to ask everyone if they’re doing okay so she can provide them with it whatever it is they need. Security had to get involved and she continued to yell at security and made an unnecessary scene. She tried to lecture the bartender and continued to try to escalate the situation by yelling at the staff. It was uncomfortable for everyone in the restaurant. I was very proud of Jessica and Dominica for maintaining their cool and being professional even though this woman was attacking them and trying to provoke them. She attempted to go live on her phone and record everyone after the had finished yelling and screaming at everyone. She was pointing her camera right at me so I turned around and asked her if she was done yelling at everyone, she didn’t respond and eventually put her phone away. When she left she attempted to leave without signing her check, but luckily the attentive staff noticed and secured payment before she left the vicinity. I know the restaurant has no control over the guests in the restaurant and the staff honestly did an incredible job at trying to handle and diffuse the situation so I would absolutely be back. I can’t imagine having to deal with such disrespectful customers, but props to the staff...

I booked this hotel because on the main website, it shows that Airport Transfers are included. However, once checking in I am told that had I looked deeper into the website I would have noticed that transfers have been suspended. To find this information, I was told that I should have scrolled down to the bottom of the main page. Clicked a new link that mentions amenity changes and then opened the new page and scrolled down to see those amenity changes. I did not go through this multi step process, so I was not aware of the changes. Hilton did state (in a very complicated process) that the transfers were not available, however it was done quite secretively and almost implies they do not want potential guests to realize this amenity is not available. I was also under the impression of a breakfast being available, however I was informed AFTER check in there was a fee. Sadly, there is more. My first night of stay, my next door neighbors came in around 3am and began playing music. In my neighbors defense, I don't think they were chatting that loud nor was the music turned up at an unreasonable level, but the walls in this hotel are extremely thin and I could hear everything. I'd think with a respectable name like "Hilton" there would be more importance put on the quality of the hotel and materials used in the build, but that was not the case. My uber driver + some other individuals I met while staying in Albuquerque asked for my opinion of the hotel and I was honest. I do not recommend anyone stay here. This was quite a poor experience and has shifted my...

Clean place, friendly staff. They do not have free coffee, which other locations do. You need your room key for everything. The outside parking is crazy. Even though it's "gated" it's out in the open. So people can jump the low wall and get to the cars. The location is, well, werid. It is in the middle of busy city life, but there are many sketchy looking people here. While we did have a mountain view window, it was beside a food pantry and views of graffitti, trash and homeless. For the price, there should of been free coffee, better views, complimentary breakfast, i have been to hotels that a part of tbis chain that are much lower priced and have all that. One more thing, the city streets are crazy at night during the weekend so be warned. Also, i don't know why people seem to think they can race thier cars in the middle of the night as if there weren't any streetlights....they WILL diaturb your sleep.

Being in downtown ABQ isn't without it's issues but this place is great. The service from all of the staff is great, everyone I've interacted with has been awesome. The restaurant and bar provides great tasting food and a nice selection of beer on tap. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. While not an issue for me, the built in air conditioning is quite loud which I can see as a potential issue for some. Since I like the white noise at night and the fact I can control the temp of the room it's not an issue for me. They have quite a lot of parking options which can potentially be difficult to enter and exit, the spaces themselves are quite large. The lots are secured with high walls and room key activated gates which is critical for downtown ABQ. Overall, I've enjoyed my stay.

There are many choices to choose from when traveling. Why anyone would choose this location, I don’t know. When I arrived the street is blocked off and detours away from the Hotel. when checking in I had the pleasure of dealing with Yuliana. She was matter of fact on everything she did. Never asked if I was member, never said anything about breakfast, never game a WIFI Password. Said I needed to display this piece paper on my car for a parking charge. I had to ask her what the charge was. It wasn’t that she was unfriendly, but she never made you feel like thanks for being here. I’m sorry, but you are in the hospitality business. If you don’t like job, don’t work here. Thanks for starting my stay like crap. I won’t be back. Have great day
