This is a hidden gem: the Galeria. It's probably the most unique thing about Downtown Albuquerque and the city overall; you will not find an Architectural curiosity anywhere else in Albuquerque such as this (the city tore everything else down to replace it with strip malls). There is a Fountain, Live Plants (Living Bromeliads and other houseplants); it's somewhat of a maze, but there are at least two main entrances; it connects to underground Civic Plaza parking; contains Neon lights at a the entrances; and it is quiet. And a few businesses are still operating out of it, and at lest one (Pulp Faction) for over a decade! It's really quite mind-numbing that more people don't go down there or use this for business. Read moreThere is a really nice gym here and kind of a nice vibe. I worked here and was not hassled by security at all. I think the security walks the mall on the half hour so definitely looked after. The fountain area is nice. The only problem here is parking and the east entrance. There is a paid lot for parking to the east and where I worked they stamped my ticket so didn't have to pay. The east entrance is stairs so if in a wheelchair situation enter from the west. The gym is a remodel of a three theater movie house and is amazing if you take the time too look. They even have a indoor swimming pool and half court wood floored...

This underground mall looks as if it was amazing in its prime but now there is only 3 stores and nothing you can actually shop at. A gym a security office and an art gallery.
