Mister Car Wash — Attraction in Albuquerque

Today was the second time I used this car wash. And I had to run my car through twice because the bugs. The second trip in my front end and windshield was saturated with their pre-wash chemicals, please keep in mind. The bugs were on the front grill, not on the front of the vehicle nor on the Glass. After the second trip through half my bug guard was pulled off and they claimed it was damaged prior to me entering the car wash. It was not. They also said It’s because of the New Mexico sun, my car is garaged and I don’t drive very much. Then it was because my car is 4yrs old. My previous vehicle also had a bug guard on it for more than 10 years and had gone through numerous car washes. My current vehicle has also been washed numerous times over the last four years without any issue. I requested a copy of the MSDA sheet to see what kind of chemicals have been sprayed on my car I was denied. I have used this car wash a total of three times, twice today and once two weeks ago. No more. When damage is done, they are filled with lousy excuses that make absolutely no sense.BTW, I have the same bug guards on my front and pass As well as my sunroof, all of which have been subjected to the same weather conditions and age and they are nice and secure. The only difference is the chemicals that were not put on...

This is NOT a full service car wash. THEY DO NOT CLEAN THE INSIDE. I went there with a gift card which was for a full service cleaning, about 23 $. I didn't realize they weren't full service until I pulled up to the car wash. I asked the guy there if this was a full service place, he said no. I was a little frustrated because I wasted my gift card on a 7$ car wash. The automatic wash wasn't that great , still had bugs and dirt on my car. Took about 30 mins to vacuum it myself. I usually don't mind vacuuming, in fact I enjoy it, but that day I was kind of looking forward to them doing the inside. Anyway, my wife talked to the lady manager, explained our mistake and she gave us a credit for another wash somewhere else. So that made me want to write this review in a somewhat positive light. Not sure if it stays they are not full service. I assumed it was and that's my fault, but they should have it posted when you arrive to avoid this. Not the best car wash. Employees and manager are nice and accommodating, and they have powerful air sprayers. As well to get the small thin areas the vacuum won't get. So...

A month ago, one of the employees offered me a temporary free upgrade on my account. They explained that if I liked the upgrade, starting October 1 I would be charged for the higher plan. That turned out to be completely untrue. Instead, my very next charge was doubled from $20 to $40, billed at the platinum rate when I was supposed to still be on the base plan.

When I pointed this out, they admitted it was their mistake, but refused to issue a refund. That’s not how a company that values its customers should operate. Don’t offer “free” promotions and then turn around and charge people for them.

I had been a member for over a year, but this experience was enough to make me cancel my account. Mister Car Wash chose to keep an undeserved $20 and lose a long term customer. Beware of any promotions offered to you.
