Double check the prices when you check out!

I tried to buy a Sally Hansen nail polish (the cheap kind) that was listed for $2.50 in bold black ink on the shelf. The price was as clear as day. When I went to check out, the lady scanned the item for me and the total came out to $5.50 after tax. I told her it was posted as $2.50 but instead of going to check, she asked if I still wanted it in which of course I said no because why would I pay double for a cheap brand of nail polish.

I gave her back the item and went back to the shelf to check. I was correct. It IS posted as $2.50, no doubt. I stopped by Walmart after and the exact nail polish was sold for $2.37 at my local Walmart. I was shocked that instead of going to the aisle to confirm the price, she just asked me if I wanted it at the register when I literally just told her the price is incorrect. She wasn't rude, just seemed rather lazy and unhelpful.

Why would I lie to save $2.50? I use nail polish all the time and I know the price ranges for these items. At other stores, usually employees will double check the price for you if there's a discrepancy. Guess she didn't care enough. So... either there's a fault in their system, it was false advertising (but I highly doubt they'll purposely price that nail polish for $5) OR she scanned my item twice by accident. I recently ventured into this store knowing a little bit about it from seeing it on a YouTube video. I literally walked through all the aisles and ended up purchasing two items.

The prices are fair on most items, but I wouldn't come back. One of the items I purchased was Maxwell wired earphones. I almost ended up with another brand I've never seen before.

The Bluetooth wireless ones were at a great price but only have an average 2 hour playtime. I had purchased a necklace style pair of Bluetooth earphones at Big Lots made by Polaroid that had me wondering if I had made a bad choice. It was about $11. The necklace shifts around and lights up when on, but it gets around 8 hours playback. My buyers remorse is gone and I'm glad I got the Polaroid brand instead at Big Lots.

The items I did find interesting were a few toys, art supplies, fitness equipment, and the earphones. I would have to check other stores to see if Five Below has better prices on those items.

The items that didn't seem a good deal were home decor items, make-up, clothing, hair accessories, and bath & body items. For example, they have the little tub of Vaseline brand petroleum jelly for $2 but you can find it for 99.99 cents at the 99 Cent Only Store.

If I could rate 0 stars, I would. I was looking for a specific item that I had just found about yesterday. I called to ask if it was in stock. I never write reviews but this absolutely disgusted me. I never called before nor have I knew about the item long enough to ask about it 10 times. I asked the lady on the phone nicely if it was in stock and she gives me attitude saying I called so many times. I quickly got confused on whether or not I was calling the right phone number and said this is my FIRST time calling. She says No its not you called 10 times for this item, insistent on the fact that I myself wouldn't know how many times I've called. How rude and her customer service needs work. Instead of assuming that I am the person who called so many times, check the phone number first. She then says check back on tuesday to see if its in stock and I specifically told her its my first time calling and that I only found out about the item YESTERDAY. All she had to say was "oh ok" and I ended it.UPDATE: I went to the store and turns out there was SO MANY of the item in stock even tho she lied to me about it...
